Letra
No sé para qué volviste
Si ya empezaba a olvidar
No sé si ya lo sabrás
Lloré cuando vos te fuiste
No sé para qué volviste
Qué mal me hace recordar
La tarde se ha puesto triste
Y yo prefiero callar
Qué mal me hace recordar
Mis manos ya son de barro
Tanto apretar al dolor
Y ahora que me falta el Sol
No sé qué venís buscando

Hive Open Mic WEEK 171 / Zamba Para Olvidarte / @jetta.amaya (Spanish/English)
A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive, it is a pleasure for me to be with you again on the big stage of open mic. Last week I could not join you because I was a little sick, this time I'm still a little sick with my throat, but as I'm getting better I encouraged me to participate, because as you know this is one of my favorite communities. The theme for week 171 is "Divorce / Separation" so I have brought you a gem of a song, it is "Zamba para olvidar" a beautiful composition of Argentine singer-songwriter Daniel Toro and was performed majestically by the Negra Sosa in 2013.
This song is wonderful for its music, but above all for the beauty of its lyrics, which express exactly the pain of a separation, all that process that some of us live when we separate from a person we have loved and that although sometimes it seems that we have already overcome it, it always causes us to recognize that breakup, to accept that that person is no longer there and will not be there. And although there are separations that do us good, it is undoubtedly a very hard and long process.
So, I hope you like my a cappella interpretation, I really enjoyed singing it since it is one of my favorite songs. I'll say goodbye for now.
Lyrics
I don't know why you came back
If I was starting to forget
I don't know if you already know
I cried when you left
I don't know why you came back
How bad it makes me rememberThe afternoon has become sad
And I prefer to keep quiet
What are we going to talk about
Of things that no longer exist
I don't know why you came back
You see it's better not to talk
What a shame it gives me, to know that in the end
Of this love there's nothing left
Only a poor song
It goes round and round my guitar
And it's been a while since I missed you
My zamba to forget
My zamba lived with me
Part of my loneliness
I don't know if you already know
My life was with you
With you my love, with you
How bad it makes me remember
My hands are already made of mud
So much squeezing the pain
And now that I lack the sun
I don't know what you come looking for
Crying my love, crying
You forget me too
What a shame it gives me to know that in the end
Of this love there's nothing left
Only a poor song
It goes round and round my guitar
And it's been a while since I missed you
My zamba to forget.
