Lovely morning everyone,

I'm excited to be here with this week's presentation and I want to welcome you all to Afritunes week 54. Today I will be doing a cover of the song Osuba By Chidinma. This song is one of my favorite gospel songs and it was sang in Yoruba (my native language) which made me love it more. Chidinma was a secular musician before she gave her life to God and decided to start singing gospel songs. Her voice is so beautiful and she's super talented. It's amazing how she sings Yoruba songs so well as she is not even Yoruba by birth. She is from the Igbo tribe but very fluent in Yoruba language. It's amazing.

This song talks about giving honor, praise and Thanks to God, the owner of our life and soul. The song has such a beautiful lyrics and one special thing I love about the song is the use of traditional yoruba type of song called "Ewi". She use the "Ewi" to talk about the greatness of God and I tried to sing is as best as I could. I decided to sing this song to showcase how beautiful my language is and also to give praises and thanks to God.

Hermosa mañana a todos,

Estoy emocionado de estar aquí con la presentación de esta semana y quiero darles la bienvenida a todos a la semana 54 de Afritunes. Hoy haré un cover de la canción Osuba By Chidinma. Esta canción es una de mis canciones gospel favoritas y se cantó en yoruba (mi idioma nativo), lo que hizo que me encantara más. Chidinma era una música secular antes de entregar su vida a Dios y decidió comenzar a cantar canciones evangélicas. Su voz es tan hermosa y tiene mucho talento. Es asombroso cómo canta canciones yoruba tan bien, ya que ni siquiera es yoruba de nacimiento. Ella es de la tribu Igbo pero habla muy bien el idioma yoruba. Es asombroso.

Esta canción habla de dar honra, alabanza y agradecimiento a Dios, el dueño de nuestra vida y alma. La canción tiene una letra tan hermosa y una cosa especial que me encanta de la canción es el uso del tipo de canción tradicional yoruba llamada "Ewi". Ella usa el "Ewi" para hablar de la grandeza de Dios y traté de cantar lo mejor que pude. Decidí cantar esta canción para mostrar lo hermoso que es mi idioma y también para dar alabanzas y gracias a Dios.
