Beautiful morning everyone,

Welcome to Hive open mic week 160. I'm super excited to be here with my submission for this week's theme which says "Fraternity". Shoutout to @guitarmcy for choosing such an amazing theme. When I first saw the theme, I was confused with which song to sing that will fit perfectly for the theme and so I searched for the meaning of the word and all I could summarise from it is Brotherhood. Group of people that work together to achieve common goals. The word "Fraternity" is sometimes use for clubs or societies. Finally, the song "We are young" came to my mind. Thankfully this song was sang in a series called "Glee" and the scene to which this song was sang gave me a better understanding of the song.

In the series, they sang the song to celebrate their friendship as a Glee club. To appreciate how far they've come and the journey that lies ahead of them. It also reminds them to make good use of the time and moments they have together because it is precious. And for that, I decided to sing the song because it fit well with the theme for this week.

The cover I did was of the Glee cast version. They are a choir and so many voices and harmonies were used in their version. To the best of my ability, I tried to give the song many harmonies just like the song with a little but of choir feel. The song is so perfect because everyone sang together and you can feel the song flow through them and the bond they have for one another. I use this song to remind us to appreciate our friendship, our bonds with other people because it is golden.

It wasn't easy making this video because I had to sing all those different parts which was plenty but at the end of the day, it was worth it. I sincerely hope you enjoy this cover of mine.

Hermosa mañana para todos,

Bienvenidos a la semana 160 de micrófono abierto de Hive. Estoy muy emocionado de estar aquí con mi presentación para el tema de esta semana que dice "Fraternidad". Gracias a @guitarmcy por elegir un tema tan increíble. Cuando vi el tema por primera vez, estaba confundido con qué canción cantar que encajaría perfectamente con el tema, así que busqué el significado de la palabra y todo lo que pude resumir es Hermandad. Grupo de personas que trabajan juntas para lograr objetivos comunes. La palabra "Fraternidad" a veces se usa para clubes o sociedades. Finalmente, me vino a la mente la canción "Somos jóvenes". Afortunadamente, esta canción se cantó en una serie llamada "Glee" y la escena en la que se cantó esta canción me dio una mejor comprensión de la canción.

En la serie, cantaron la canción para celebrar su amistad como club Glee. Para apreciar lo lejos que han llegado y el viaje que les espera. También les recuerda que aprovechen bien el tiempo y los momentos que tienen juntos porque es precioso. Y por eso, decidí cantar la canción porque encajaba bien con el tema de esta semana.

La portada que hice fue de la versión del elenco de Glee. Son un coro y en su versión se usaron tantas voces y armonías. Lo mejor que pude, traté de darle a la canción muchas armonías como la canción con un poco de sentimiento de coro. La canción es tan perfecta porque todos cantaron juntos y puedes sentir la canción fluir a través de ellos y el vínculo que tienen el uno con el otro. Uso esta canción para recordarnos que apreciemos nuestra amistad, nuestros lazos con otras personas porque es oro.

No fue fácil hacer este video porque tuve que cantar todas esas partes diferentes, lo cual fue suficiente, pero al final del día, valió la pena. Espero sinceramente que disfruten de esta versión mía.
