Hive Open Mic WEEK 144 / Tu Tu Teshcote / Cover @jetta.amaya (Español/Ingles)

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, empieza una nueva semana y mi gran ilusión es compartir con ustedes en la gran tarima de Open Mic. El tema de esta semana es “Dosis Melódica” estuve pensando por varios días con que canción podría participar para ajustarme al tema. Pues en ese recorrido por las canciones que amo, recordé una hermosa canción de cuna en idioma náhuatl, que comencé a cantar desde hace varios años.

Esta es una versión bastante personal. La canción es milenaria, pertenece a la memoria de uno de los pueblos de mesoamérica que, junto a su lengua, ha sido mejor asimilado por la modernidad. Hay hablantes de la lengua náhuatl en diversos estados de México, así como en otras partes del continente ya que para la llegada de los españoles este pueblo se había extendido por gran parte del continente centroamericano.

Una de las versiones más conocida en nuestros tiempos es la del disco " Under the Green Corn Moon: Native American Lullabies” que significa “Bajo la luna de maíz verde: Canciones de cuna nativas americanas” en esa ocasión fue interpretada por la voz de Lorain Fox. Esta canción tiene una hermosa melodía, dulce y relajante. En realidad ignoro lo que significa su letra, pero se sabe que es una canción de cuna y efectivamente ha pasado de generación en generación como una nana para arrullar a los bebes.

La parte en español en mi entrada, es la traducción de un fragmento del poema anónimo “To walk red road”.

Espero que la disfruten mucho, tanto como yo cantándola.

A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive, a new week begins and my great illusion is to share with you on the big stage of Open Mic. This week's theme is "Melodic Dose" I was thinking for several days with which song I could participate to fit the theme. Well, in that journey through the songs I love, I remembered a beautiful lullaby in Nahuatl language, which I started singing several years ago.

This is a very personal version. The song is millenary, it belongs to the memory of one of the peoples of Mesoamerica that, together with its language, has been better assimilated by modernity. There are speakers of the Nahuatl language in various states of Mexico, as well as in other parts of the continent, since by the time the Spaniards arrived, this people had spread throughout most of the Central American continent.

One of the best known versions in our times is the one from the album "Under the Green Corn Moon: Native American Lullabies" which means "Bajo la luna de maíz verde: Canciones de cuna nativas americanas" (Under the Green Corn Moon: Native American Lullabies) in that occasion it was interpreted by the voice of Lorain Fox. This song has a beautiful melody, sweet and soothing.
