Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, espero que todos tengan un excelente lunes. Me encanta iniciar la semana con música, así que soy afortunada de poder estar en la gran tarima de open mic, esta vez participando con la temática de la semana 163 que es “Pasión por el Arte” y me parece apropiada y hermosa, ya que esa pasión es la que nos reúne a todos en este caluroso espacio cada semana.

Me pareció que una canción oportuna para esta temática es “Reverón” una composición del cantautor venezolano Ali Primera, publicada en el álbum “Canción mansa para un pueblo bravo” en el año 1978. Armando Reverón, conocido también como “El Loco de Macuto” fue un artista platico venezolano, reconocido como uno de los más grandes del siglo XX en el continente americano. Precisamente el 10 de mayo, fecha en la que nació este extraordinario artista, celebramos en Venezuela El Día Nacional del Artista Plástico, pues Reverón no es cualquier personaje, es un símbolo de pasión y locura por el arte.

La letra de esta canción recoge brevemente toda la belleza de la vida y obra del Loco Reverón, su forma de ver el mundo y los colores, lo que tuvo que enfrentar por no encajar en los parámetros hegemónicos de pensamiento y comportamiento social, sobre todo en el medio artístico que para la época pertenecía a las elites más poderosas. Pues bien, este es un pequeño homenaje a todos los que, como diría el escritor venezolano Aquiles Nazoa, creemos en los poderes creadores del pueblo.

Love greetings to all my Hive friends, I hope you all have a great Monday. I love to start the week with music, so I am fortunate to be on the big open mic stage, this time participating with the theme of week 163 which is "Passion for Art" and I find it appropriate and beautiful, since that passion is what brings us all together in this warm space every week.

It seemed to me that a timely song for this theme is "Reverón" a composition of the Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ali Primera, published in the album "Canción mansa para un pueblo bravo" in 1978. Armando Reverón, also known as "El Loco de Macuto" was a Venezuelan plastic artist, recognized as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century in the American continent. Precisely on May 10, the date on which this extraordinary artist was born, we celebrate in Venezuela the National Day of the Plastic Artist, because Reverón is not just any character, he is a symbol of passion and madness for art.

The lyrics of this song briefly capture all the beauty of the life and work of Loco Reverón, his way of seeing the world and colors, what he had to face because he did not fit into the hegemonic parameters of thought and social behavior, especially in the artistic milieu that at the time belonged to the most powerful elites.
