Mi experiencia durante la obra de Blanca Nieves como el Rey Mamerto XIII (ES/EN)

Hola amigos de Bee on Stage, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mis comentarios sobre lo que fue el fin de la temporada de la obra de teatro Blanca Nieve , una adaptación del dramaturgo venezolano, Aquiles Nazoa, dirigida por la directora Alexandra Valencia @alexeyha86.

Hello friends of Bee on Stage, today I want to share with you my comments on what was the end of the season of the play Blanca Nieve , an adaptation of the Venezuelan playwright, Aquiles Nazoa, directed by director Alexandra Valencia @alexeyha86.

Esta temporada constó de 4 funciones, con una doble función los días viernes 28 de a julio y viernes 4 de agosto, una a las 5 pm y otra a las 6.30 pm. Funciones que estuvieron llenas de contrastes, de públicos con edades distintas y con energías distintas, una gran experiencia para la formación actoral de todos los que participamos en esta obra infantil. Anteriormente les hablé sobre mi experiencia en el montaje de esta obra. Ahora quiero contarles algunas de las cosas que experimenté durante las funciones.

This season consisted of 4 performances, with a double performance on Friday July 28th and Friday August 4th, one at 5 pm and the other at 6.30 pm. These performances were full of contrasts, with audiences of different ages and with different energies, a great experience for the acting training of all of us who participated in this children's play. Previously I told you about my experience in the staging of this play. Now I want to tell you some of the things I experienced during the performances.

Algo que caracterizó esta temporada fue la diferencia de públicos, fueron 4 funciones en la que percibimos diferencias importantes, sobre todo en la segunda fecha, una primera función con un público difícil, seguramente por la poca presencia de niños. Veníamos de dos funciones en donde hubo risas en mayor o menor medida, una energía positiva principalmente irradiada por los niños y contagiada a los adultos.

Something that characterized this season was the difference in audiences, there were 4 performances in which we perceived important differences, especially on the second date, a first performance with a difficult audience, probably due to the low presence of children. We came from two shows where there was laughter to a greater or lesser extent, a positive energy mainly radiated by the children and transmitted to the adults.

La primera función de cada fecha fue dura para nosotros, algo inesperado, esperábamos risas, aunque fuesen sutiles pero no encontramos más que un silencio sepulcral. Sin embargo, nuestra profesora nos enseñó a no ser actores de público, sino a darlo todo sin importar la energía de la audiencia, a no dejarnos influenciar. Para todo el grupo, fue muy bueno que esto pasara, pues es algo a lo que quienes hacen teatro tienen que enfrentarse con frecuencia.

The first performance of each date was hard for us, something unexpected, we expected laughter, even if it was subtle, but we found nothing but a sepulchral silence. However, our teacher taught us not to be audience actors, but to give our all regardless of the energy of the audience, not to let ourselves be influenced. For the whole group, it was very good that this happened, as it is something that those who do theater have to face frequently.

Una de las escenas que más me gustó representar, fue en la que interactuó con el público. En mi papel de Rey Mamerto XIII, un rey tonto y despistado, teniendo a Blanca Nieves detrás metida en un sacó, no logra identificar de donde ni de quien viene el llamado de auxilio, por lo que este pregunta al público si escucharon algo. Me encontré con distintas situaciones, primero a los niños gritando como locos que Blanca Nieves estaba detrás mío, y otro público que no dijo absolutamente nada. Yo definitivamente no estaba preparado para los gritos de los niños, pues no me permitían continuar con mi línea, en dos funciones los niños sufrieron por no haberlos escuchado, pues estaban tan sumergidos en la obra, que creían que todo lo que sucedía era real, esto me pareció muy divertido y me obliga a trabajar en mi interacción con los niños para no hacerlos sentir mal, sino más bien hacerlos reír.

One of the scenes that I enjoyed the most was the one in which he interacted with the audience. In my role as King Mamerto XIII, a silly and clueless king, having Snow White behind him in a sack, he is unable to identify from where and from whom the call for help comes, so he asks the audience if they heard anything. I encountered different situations, first the children screaming like crazy that Snow White was behind me, and another audience that said absolutely nothing. I was definitely not prepared for the screams of the children, because they did not allow me to continue with my line, in two performances the children suffered for not having heard them, because they were so immersed in the play, they believed that everything that happened was real, I found this very funny and it forces me to work on my interaction with the children not to make them feel bad, but rather to make them laugh.

Otra cosa curiosa fue que las risas ocurrían en los momentos menos esperados, y cuando esperábamos risas nadie se reía, una cosa es la visión del actor en escenario, y otra la del público, parece que lo que es gracioso internamente no lo es externamente y viceversa. Incluso en una escena en donde mi personaje se cae, y lo cual pensábamos sería gracioso, lo que generó fue lástima, y es que al verme en video, cambia completamente, soy un pobre ancianito con bastón que se cae.

Another curious thing was that the laughter occurred at the least expected moments, and when we expected laughter nobody laughed, one thing is the vision of the actor on stage, and another the audience, it seems that what is funny internally is not funny externally and vice versa. Even in a scene where my character falls, which we thought would be funny, what it generated was pity, and that is that seeing me on video, it changes completely, I am a poor old man with a cane that falls.

Otro evento curioso fue que Blanca Nieves, la protagonista de esta historia, recibió al final de cada función un ramo de rosas enviado en anonimato, con una nota que decía: “Para la Blanca Nieves más hermosa”, sin embargo, nuestra amiga ni siquiera sospecha quien podría ser aquel admirador secreto, tal parece que no tiene intenciones de darse a conocer, pues no arrojó ninguna pista. Esto es algo que nos ha divertido mucho y que nos ha generado mucha curiosidad.

Another curious event was that Snow White, the protagonist of this story, received at the end of each show a bouquet of roses sent anonymously, with a note that said: "For the most beautiful Snow White", however, our friend does not even suspect who could be that secret admirer, it seems that he has no intention of making himself known, because he did not give any clue. This is something that has amused us a lot and has generated a lot of curiosity.

La última función cerró con broche de oro, con la presencia de una gran cantidad de niños estudiantes de una escuela de dibujo, que disfrutaron mucho la obra, cerramos con una sesión fotográfica, los niños estaban muy emocionados, con nosotros post obra y eso fue sumamente gratificante, ver la alegría en sus rostros, para ellos algo mágico poder tomarse fotos con cada personaje.

The last show closed with a flourish, with the presence of a large number of children students from a drawing school, who enjoyed the play very much, we closed with a photo session, the children were very excited, with us post play and that was extremely gratifying, to see the joy on their faces, for them something magical to be able to take pictures with each character.

La obra ha sido muy llamativa y tenemos propuestas para llevarla a cabo en diferentes pueblos, por lo que será una gran experiencia si viajamos para llevar a alegría a otros parajes.

The work has been very striking and we have proposals to carry it out in different towns, so it will be a great experience if we travel to bring joy to other places.
