New metal was at its peak and Papa Roach was definitely my favorite band, so it didn't take me long to acquire the album Infest, released in 2000, I listened to the album almost every day, and dreamed of playing their songs or imagined myself in concert as if I was part of the band, Jerry Horton, the guitarist of the band became my role model as a guitarist.

I enjoyed this album from beginning to end, I would pick up the Booklet and follow the lyrics of each song. With this album my English improved a lot, because I used to translate the lyrics and learn them, improving also my pronunciation, by that time I was about 13 years old and the internet was not easy to access, so I learned each of the songs on the guitar by ear, of course being a beginner I didn't play them perfectly, it was part of my learning and development of my musical ear.

Infest starts with a homonymous song that made me love the album from beginning to end, there is no better introductory song for this album, it was an extremely aggressive song that attributed a great identity to the band, when I think of this band automatically, I think of the words, "Welcome to the original Papa Roach Sound fire, ¡Viva la cucarachaaa!". To me it really was a fire sound.

Infest inicia con un tema homónimo que me hizo amar el disco de principio a fin, no existe mejor tema introductorio para este disco, era una tema sumamente agresivo y que atribuía una gran identidad a la banda, cuando pienso en esta banda automáticamente, pienso en las palabras, “Welcome to the original Papa Roach Sound fire, ¡Viva la cucarachaaa!”. Para mi realmente era un sonido de fuego.
