Hello Hive Open Mic brothers and sisters who remain in good spirits. Greetings and blessings to all. My name is Zein Grind from @indonesiabersatu band, returning to the weekly #OpenMic event which has entered its 194th week, with the theme "End Of December" chosen by our friend @samuelstifen. This is an interesting theme.

End of December is the time at the end of the year, where people are rejoicing, vacationing, and preparing for the new year party. However, what if the end of December is a time of sorrow for people in certain regions? That's what the people of Aceh and parts of South and Southeast Asia felt in 2004. While the end of December was a time of joy, the reality was different.

By the way, for this week's theme, I brought you an original song called "Black December". This song is a reminder that most of Aceh experienced the devastating Tsunami disaster in 2004. It is estimated that millions of lives were lost. Not only Aceh, Thailand, Malaysia, and the South Asian region were also hit by a ferocious tsunami. Just imagine, people who are rejoicing to welcome the new year, instead get grief that makes many people cry.

This song is about a man who meets a woman by the beach in late December. They love each other. But unfortunately, the tsunami wave has separated them. It seems that nature did not approve of their relationship, so they parted in a sad way.

In making this music video, I used the RealDrum app from my android phone to create drums, and then used my electric bass. However, I gave the bass sound a distortion effect to have a punk and noise rock impression. For software, I used Adobe Audition CC for audio editing, and Capcut for video editing.
