El video que les presento, está basado en una historia creada por mí, que nació después de una invitación para participar en un concurso de microrrelatos en España.

Debido a mis ocupaciones laborables no pude participar, la fecha se me pasó, pero en mi mente quedó la historia.

Entonces, pensé que lo ideal sería llevarla a mi blog en Hive pero en forma de video.

Recuerdo que uno de los requisitos para participar en aquel concurso, era mencionar una puerta de color naranja.

Espero que lo disfruten y me hagan saber sus impresiones en el cajón de comentarios.

Cada mañana, al salir de su apartamento, él miraba la casa de enfrente. Era una casa blanca con una puerta naranja y una maceta con una rosa amarilla. En esa casa vivía el amor de su vida, o al menos eso creía él.

Hacía años que no la veía. Se habían conocido en un viaje a Mérida y se habían enamorado perdidamente. Ella era viuda y tenía dos hijos adultos que no vivían con ella. Él era divorciado desde hace bastante tiempo. Parecía que el destino quiso unirlos.

Pero los hijos de ella se opusieron a la relación. No querían que su madre se casara con un desconocido que podría quitarles la herencia de su padre.
Hicieron todo lo posible por separarlos: le mintieron, le chantajearon, le amenazaron. Ella, por amor a sus hijos, cedió y rompió con él.

Él quedó destrozado. No podía olvidarla. Todos los días pasaba frente a su casa, esperando verla salir o asomarse por la ventana. Pero nunca la veía.

Siempre se preguntaba:

¿Seguiría viva? ¿Estaría enferma? ¿O acaso se habría ido con otro?

Un día, decidió llamar a la puerta. Necesitaba saber de ella. Golpeó varias veces; pero nadie respondió.

Entonces vio un cartel en la ventana:

"Se vende".

Sintió un escalofrío.

Inmediatamente, entró en una tienda cercana y preguntó al dueño si sabía algo de la mujer que vivía en la casa blanca.

El hombre lo miró con extrañeza.

• ¿Qué mujer? -dijo. -Esa casa lleva vacía desde hace diez años. La compró un señor que se fue a vivir a París y nunca más volvió.

The video I present to you is based on a story created by me, which was born after an invitation to participate in a micro-story contest in Spain.

Due to my work commitments, I was not able to participate, the date passed me by, but the story stayed in my mind.

So, I thought it would be ideal to bring it to my blog on Hive but in the form of a video.

I remember that one of the requirements to participate in that contest was to mention an orange door.

The following is the written version:

Every morning, as he left his apartment, he would look at the house across the street. It was a white house with an orange door and a potted yellow rose. In that house lived the love of his life, or so he thought.

It had been years since he had seen her. They had met on a trip to Mérida and had fallen madly in love. She was a widow and had two adult children who did not live with her. He had been divorced for quite some time. It seemed that fate wanted to bring them together.

But her children objected to the relationship. They did not want their mother to marry a stranger who could take away their father's inheritance.

They did everything they could to separate them: they lied to her, blackmailed her, threatened her. She, out of love for her children, gave in and broke up with him.

He was devastated. He could not forget her. Every day he passed in front of her house, hoping to see her come out or look out the window. But he never saw her.

He always wondered:

Would she still be alive? Would she be ill? Or would she have gone with someone else?

One day, he decided to knock on the door. He needed to hear from her. He knocked several times, but no one answered.

Then he saw a sign in the window:

"For sale".

He felt a shiver.

Immediately, he entered a nearby store and asked the owner if he knew anything about the woman living in the white house.

The man looked at him strangely.

• What woman? -He said. -That house has been empty for ten years. It was bought by a man who went to live in Paris and never came back.
