I am always looking forward to Sunday and you can easily tell why, it's a day for Hive Learners Creative Sunday Initiative and I am always excited. Before now, I just tried different recipes and barely shared them with anyone but with the initiative, things are on a whole different level.

Aside from that, this initiative has made me improve in so many ways and I am always working to make sure that there is an improvement in how I present my recipes.

Today, I made something different and it's my first time which made the snacks really special to me. At first, I didn't know such snacks existed. I got the idea while making meatballs on my brother's birthday and decided to make something.
I checked online for something similar and found it but not all the recipes were the same.

Potato ball is made from potatoes and it is one of the best ways to enjoy your potatoes other than the regular frying or boiling. It is very easy to prepare, doesn't consume time and very nutritious as well.

Recipe

1. Potatoes

2. Egg

3. Flour

4. Groundnut oil

5. Chilli powder

6. Salt

7. Onion

Procedure.

• I peeled, rinsed and boiled the potatoes until it was soft.

• After cooking, I poured them into a mortar and mashed them.

• I removed the mashed potatoes and turned it into a plastic. I added the flour, chilli powder, salt and onions and started mixing them. I did that for some time before they all blended in very well.

• I added the egg and mixed it again until it blended well with the mashed potatoes and other recipes.

• I went on to heat the groundnut oil in a deep pot and started cutting the mashed potatoes bit by bit in a round shape into the hot oil.

• I allowed it to fry until the colour turned golden yellow. I put the potatoes balls in a sieve to drain the oil and that's all.
