    Hello everyone, welcome to another Hive Learner's Creative Sunday Initiative with George Dee. As usual, I made something yummy but I don't know if I should name it a snack or food because it can serve as both.

    I actually made it for snacks because I had some guests at my place over the weekend. Two friends came for an event in my neighbourhood and instead of lodging at the hotel, they decided to manage at my small space. It was an opportunity for us to catch up since we hadn't seen in a while and I enjoyed their company.

    They were to leave for the event on Saturday morning so I decided to make something simple for them before they set out and they loved it. I felt bad that I didn't make much of it because they wanted more of this delicious delicacy after eating it.


    If you are the type who loves chicken and plantain, please don't hesitate to try this out immediately after watching the video.

    I am one of the lovers of plantain and have tried different ways of enjoying it. I have enjoyed plantain roasted, boiled, fried, grilled and any other way you can think of but I don't see myself quitting because there are still many possible ways I can enjoy my plantain.

    For this Creative Sunday, I made a combination of plantain and chicken. The combo gave a completely different vibe and you all are definitely going to enjoy it. The snack is easy to prepare, cheap and nutritious as well.

    What are the recipes?

    1. Plantain

    2. Chicken

    3. Red pepper

    4. Green pepper

    5. Onions

    6. Groundnut oil

    7. Seasoning cubes

    8. Salt

    9. Basil

    Let's get to the preparation...

    I started with cleaning all the recipes that needed to be cleaned first and then went on to process them.

    • I rinsed the chicken thoroughly before cooking it with seasoning and I fried it after.

    • I cut the plantain into smaller sizes, added a little salt and fried everything as well.

    • I chopped some of the pepper and blended the rest with a hand blender. I also sliced the onions and Basil leaves.

    After doing all that, I moved on with the proper preparation.

    • I started by heating a small quantity of groundnut oil and added onions, I allowed it to fry under low heat.

    • I added the grated pepper and added just one seasoning cube because plantain is a sweet food plus I already seasoned the chicken.

    • I turned the chicken into the frying pepper and stirred so that the chicken could absorb that spicy taste.

    • I added the fried plantains and stirred again. I allowed it to fry under low for five minutes and added the Basil leaves.

    • Two minutes later, I poured the remaining onions and chopped peppers (green & red). I stirred everything and left it for another three minutes under low heat.

    The outcome of all this process was awesome and my guest couldn't wait to be served because even the aroma murdered the worms in their belly. I couldn't eat much but the little I ate would make me prepare this again for myself shortly.

    The festive season is here and we will be having lots of guests, this delicacy is something you can always prepare for them. I bet they would ask for the recipe and even want more.
