MONEY ART - VINCENT VAN GOGH TIMELAPSE VIDEO SHORT ACRYLIC PAINTING [ENG-ESP]

Hello friends, I hope you are well, this week I was watching the movie At the Gates of Eternity, starring Willm Dafoe, I really liked this version about the life of the impressionist painter, I think it is a very personal interpretation of the author where he put his own stamp and from what he has seen of Van Gogh, for my part I really liked Mr. Dafoe's performance as this character, and he makes me think that he is Van Gogh in his suffering years. I made this painting taking those years as a reference and as inspiration from the film, I hope you like it.

Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, esta semana estuve viendo la película A las Puerta de la Eternidad, protagonizada por Willm Dafoe, me gustó mucho esta versión acerca de la vida del pintor impresionista, creo que es una interpretación muy personal del autor donde puso su propio sello y de lo que ha visto de Van Gogh, por mi parte me gustó mucho el desempeño del señor Dafoe haciendo de este personaje, y logra que yo piense que es Van Gogh en sus años sufridos. He realizado esta pintura tomando como referencia aquellos años y como inspiración en la película, espero que les guste.

I used a worthless Venezuelan bill as a canvas, you already know the story of hyperinflation and how the currency turned into sea sand. On this bill I painted Van Gogh's face, first painting a white background to cure the bill and then making pencil strokes on top of it.

Utilicé como lienzo un billete venezolano sin valor, ya conocen la historia de la hiperinflación y como la moneda se convirtió en arena del mar. Sobre este billete pinte el rostro de Van Gogh, en primer lugar pintando un fondo blanco para curar el billete y después hacer los trazos en lápiz encima de el.

I used a very small and fine brush, as for the brush stroke I was doing something similar to pointillism, since something similar was Van Gogh's technique, I was working in various skin tones, looking for my own personal stamp when painting.

Utilicé un pincel muy pequeño y fino, en cuanto a la pincelada estuve haciendo algo parecido al puntillismo, ya que algo parecido era la técnica de Van Gogh, estuve trabajando en varios tonos para la piel, buscando mi propio sello personal al momento de pintar.

Having completed the first part of the face, I began to paint the beard, which always stands out for being reddish. So I started with light tones and then darkened with more reddish tones. In the same way paint a first base for the hair.

Al haber completado una primera parte del rostro comencé a pintar la barba, que siempre sobresale por ser rojiza. Así fui comenzando con tonos claros para después ir oscureciendo con tonos mas rojizos. De la misma forma pinté una primera base para el cabello.

Next I also painted the hair, using a contrast between warm and cold colors, so the brush strokes ranged from light tones, through ocher and some points of turquoise blue.

Seguidamente pinté también el cabello, utilizando un contraste entre colores cálidos y fríos, así que las pinceladas iban desde tonos claros, pasando por el ocre y algunos puntos de azul turquesa.

To finish with the face I made part of the clothes, it looked like an original bill with Van Goh's face.

Para finalizar con el rostro hice parte de la ropa, quedó como si fuera un billete original con la cara de Van Gogh.

And now to completely complete the illustration, I painted part of the Starry Night as a background, the most famous and famous painting of all of Van Gogh's work.

Y ahora para culminar completamente la ilsutración, pinté como fondo parte de la Noche Estrellada, el cuadro más célebre y famoso de toda la obra de Van Gogh.

This is how the painting I made of Van Gogh was finished. Some art critics mention that Van Gogh's work is not as relevant as it is thought and that on the contrary it is very overrated. The critics will have their very valid reasons but fortunately I think otherwise. They say that Van Gogh's work is very easy to replicate, and that his brushstroke compared to other impressionists like Monet, is not a great thing, however, I think that the quality of an artist is measured more by what his work He is capable of transmitting, and Van Gogh transmits a lot to me. On the other hand, if your work can be easily replicated, then bless you for that, since then people can get closer to art without fear of failure. Así quedó finalizada la pintura que hice de Van Gogh, algunos críticos de arte mencionan que la obra de Van Gogh no es tan relevante como se piensa y que al contrario esta se ecnuentra muy sobrevalorada, los círticos tendrán sus razones muy válidad pero afortunadamente yo pienso lo contrario. Ellos dicen que la obra de Van Gogh es muy fácil de replicar, y que su pincelada en comparación con otros impresionistas como Monet, no es la gran cosa, sin embargo, pienso que la calidad de un artista se mide más por lo que su obra es capaz de transmitir, y a mi Van Gogh me transmite mucho. Por otra parte, si su obra puede replicarse facilmente, pues bendito sea por eso, ya que así las personas pueden acercarse más al arte sin miedo a fracasar.
