During school and high school we were put in the schoolyard in columns to sing the national anthem and all with little desire to follow that routine, now as an adult is that I notice how nice it is and appreciate that we did learn it. Having the word of this week's theme in the title it was inevitable not to have this hymn in my head and do it. Aside from what I said before, I made it sound like it was easy, the truth is the opposite, my voice has changed a lot and what I used to do now sounds very ugly. I accepted the challenge of singing the hymn again trying to make it sound like when my voice was different.
Hello beautiful people of the Hive Open Mic community here @eudarcabello and this time to participate in the week 145 titled Gloria, with the theme "Gloria al bravo pueblo" This is the national anthem of my country Venezuela, Lyrics by Vicente Salias and music by Juan José Landaeta.

I
¡Abajo Cadenas!
gritaba el señor;
y el pobre en su choza
Libertad pidió:
A este santo nombre
tembló de pavor
el vil egoísmo
que otra vez triunfó.
Coro
II
Gritemos con brío:
¡Muera la opresión!
Compatriotas fieles,
la fuerza es la unión;
y desde el Empíreo
el supremo Autor,
un sublime aliento
al pueblo infundió.
Coro
III
Unida con lazos
que el cielo formó
la América toda
existe en Nación;
y si el despotismo
levanta la voz,
seguid el ejemplo
que Caracas dio.
Coro.
I
Down with Cadenas!
cried the lord;
and the poor man in his hut
Freedom he asked for:
To this holy name
trembled with dread
the vile selfishness
that once again triumphed.
Choir
II
Let's cry out with a loud voice:
Away with oppression!
Faithful countrymen,
strength is union;
and from the Empyrean
the supreme Author,
a sublime breath
to the people.
Choir
III
Bound with bonds
that heaven formed
the whole of America
exists in Nation;
and if despotism
raises its voice,
follow the example
that Caracas gave.
Choir.
Now I see a subject of the career of Music mention popular singing, this subject is called choral practice one and according to what they said my voice should be of tenor, but I do not feel I can make high notes, in fact I feel that I must shout so that they sound and I do not say well, even I feel that I half achieve my high notes, the thing is that I say in this subject to be baritone and I do not know the voice for this hymn and I still do not know it. This subject is a little chaotic since we are many newcomers who have not participated much in choir and those who have more experience don't have patience for us, even though there are songs I guess that are easy where we sound very good, it is still not the case with the national anthem.
This I tried is similar to what I did in the school playgrounds when singing the hymn, I made some little twists to how they usually sing it to make it a cover, all this was the same with respect and I hope it does not bother or hurt anyone. I had a long time without singing the song before the last choral practice class and I did not rehearse all of it, only the chorus and I was afraid I would not remember it as it happens with all my participations, I am glad to realize that I do remember it well. I already said that it was not easy, but it may sound somewhat similar to how I did it, here it is very common that the music saturates and opaque the voices, I liked the result and I hope you enjoy it too.
As for the song is very nice and reflects although it may not seem the spirit of the Venezuelan, passionate people who make themselves felt and fight to achieve their goals, I like to be able to feel identified because in many opportunities I wanted to give up many things, but here I am and even if I do not see at the moment and still do not see many times that it was worth the effort, I hope to see it and continue to stay committed to my purposes.
I am very grateful for all the good things that have happened to me and the bad things I have been spared, for your visit and support, you are invited to follow my new posts. Many successes with your content, remember that you are your own hero and see you next week.
