Amigos de FullDeportes un honor compartir esta entrega dedicada a la pasión de jugar Ajedrez, a propósito de una Fiesta Ajedrecística celebrada en la hermosa ciudad blanca de Arequipa, específicamente en el Distrito de Yanahuara en las instalaciones del Colegio Antonio José de Sucre, cuya organización fue liderada por el profesor Alejandro Peraltilla con quien tuvimos el honor de sostener una amena entrevista. Un importante encuentro de ajedrecistas donde interactuamos con los protagonistas del evento como lo son los atletas, quienes compartieron las emociones vividas en este importante torneo de ajedrez: noveno torneo Inter-Escolar de Ajedrez 2023.

Friends of FullDeportes, it is an honor to share this article dedicated to the passion of playing Chess, about a Chess Festival held in the beautiful white city of Arequipa, specifically in the District of Yanahuara in the facilities of the Antonio José de Sucre School, whose organization was led by Professor Alejandro Peraltilla with whom we had the honor of holding a pleasant interview. An important meeting of chess players where we interacted with the protagonists of the event such as the athletes, who shared the emotions experienced in this important chess tournament: ninth Inter-School Chess Tournament 2023.

Un torneo que fue organizado en base a categorías, lo cual es una excelente oportunidad para que los mas pequeños se puedan medir con oponentes de su misma edad, lo que convierte al torneo en una excelente fuente de entrenamiento. Es por ello que no dudé en llevar a dos de mis pupilos quienes estarían participando en las categorías Sub 06 y Sub 08, ellos son Gerald Cuno y Saúl Chamorro respectivamente.

A tournament that was organized based on categories, which is an excellent opportunity for the youngest to measure themselves against opponents of the same age, which makes the tournament an excellent source of training. That is why I did not hesitate to take two of my pupils who would be participating in the Under 06 and Under 08 categories, they are Gerald Cuno and Saul Chamorro respectively.

Saúl logró 03 puntos de los 05 posibles y Gerald se fue invicto logrando campeonar en la categoría sub 06. Es realmente emocionante lo que se siente en la función de entrenador, ver a tus atletas competir es lo máximo, y es la materialización del trabajo diario en pro de cultivar este maravilloso deporte.

Saul scored 03 points out of a possible 05 and Gerald went undefeated and won the championship in the U06 category. En cuanto a la categoría mayores, esta estuvo super fuerte, atletas de la talla de Flavio González, Fernando Paco, Christofer Cutipa, Rodrigo Viveros, Alvaro Rosas dijeron presente, lo que prometía partidas de alta intensidad, de mucha fuerza, de muchas emociones.

Aprovechamos de interactuar con algunos de estos fuertes jugadores, quienes nos brindaron importantes consejos para mejorar en el ajedrez, para afrontar la derrota y continuar avanzando. Siempre es un honor compartir con atletas de mucha experiencia en el deporte de las 64 casillas, es decir, el ajedrez.

Es muy gratificante ver la presencia de muchos niños, que desde temprana edad asumen al ajedrez como un Deporte, siempre señalo que el ajedrez es un camino para la construcción de una mejor sociedad, y ese sentir hay que transmitirlo a los más pequeños, no necesariamente entrenamos ajedrez para ser campeones, entrenamos ajedrez para ser mejores personas.

It is very gratifying to see the presence of many children, who from an early age assume chess as a sport, I always point out that chess is a way to build a better society, and that feeling must be transmitted to the youngest, we do not necessarily train chess to be champions, we train chess to be better people.

Para disfrutar momentos amenos con los compañeros; y en torno a esta idea en medio de tanto ajedrez no podía dejar de jugar por lo menos una partida, y en las afueras de la sala de juego, reté a Francoise Mendoza líder de BRAVE Academia, fue un encuentro amistoso interesante, el duelo dos lideres de academia, Academia ARTISTA vs. Academia BRAVE, ambos coincidimos en la importancia de masificar el deporte ciencia.
