Un gran abrazo para toda la comunidad de FullDeportes, de HIVE y el mundo entero, en esta entrega les comparto la emoción que siento al retornar nuevamente al KARATE DO, de la mano de mi sensei Jorge González, con quien tuve honor de interactuar y conocer parte de su trayectoria en el fascinante mundo del KARTATE DO, tanto como entrenador, como árbitro internacional.

A big hug to the entire community of FullDeportes, HIVE and the whole world, in this delivery I share with you the excitement I feel to return again to KARATE DO, from the hand of my sensei Jorge Gonzalez, with whom I had the honor to interact and know part of his career in the fascinating world of KARTATE DO, both as a coach and as an international referee.

Cuarenta años dedicados a al Karate Do, se escribe fácil, pero es una muestra de amor por esta disciplina, y de una gran riqueza en sabiduría, gran experiencia en la enseñanza y formación de niños, jóvenes y adultos, que más allá de los conocimientos propios de las prácticas del KARATE DO, se llenan de muchos valores positivos como el respeto, honestidad, disciplina, lo que sin duda alguna es una contribución a la formación de una mejor sociedad. Actualmente mi sensei Jorge González es líder de la Organización SHUTOKUKAN de Venezuela, donde se promueva el estilo SHOTOKAN de KARATE DO, en el que tengo el nivel de cinturón azul raya negra.

Forty years dedicated to Karate Do, it is easy to write, but it is a sign of love for this discipline, and a great wealth of wisdom, great experience in teaching and training children, youth and adults, beyond the knowledge of the practices of KARATE DO, are filled with many positive values such as respect, honesty, discipline, which undoubtedly is a contribution to the formation of a better society. Currently my sensei Jorge Gonzalez is the leader of the Organization SHUTOKUKAN of Venezuela, where the SHOTOKAN style of KARATE DO is promoted, in which I have the level of blue belt black stripe.

En esta interacción con el sensei Jorge González, abordamos muchos aspectos interesantes del arbitraje, entre ellos, el puntaje, los sistemas de desempate que se utilizan en el combate (Kumite), el riesgo de exceso de contacto y la forma como este puede ser penalizado, por eso te recomiendo que veas el recurso audiovisual que encabeza esta publicación. El KARATE DO con fines deportivos, protege mucho a los atletas del exceso de contacto que se pueda dar en un combate. En torno a esto se muestra la penalización que ocurrió en las Juegos Olímpicos Tokio 2020, donde un atleta que dio NOCAUT fue automáticamente descalificado, dándole la victoria al atleta que recibió dicho NOCAUT.

In this interaction with sensei Jorge Gonzalez, we addressed many interesting aspects of refereeing, among them, the scoring, the tie-breaking systems used in combat (Kumite), the risk of excess contact and how this can be penalized, so I recommend you watch the audiovisual resource that heads this publication. KARATE DO for sporting purposes, protects athletes from excessive contact that may occur in a fight. In this regard, the penalty that occurred in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is shown, where an athlete who gave NOCAUT was automatically disqualified, giving the victory to the athlete who received the NOCAUT.

Es importante comprender el mensaje que transmite SHUTOKUKAN. Tenemos la primera parte de la palabra “SHU” que quiere decir “dominar”, la segunda palabra “TOKU” significa “virtud” y por último “KAN” que es “casa”. Y desde mi opinión el sentido que encierra la mezcla de estas tres palabras es que del DOMINIO del KARATE DO se desprenden muchas VIRTUDES, que se traducen en importantes valores como el respeto, la disciplina, y que aprendemos en nuestra CASA, una bonita metáfora para hacer alusión al DOJO donde nos formamos, donde todos somos hermanos. Actualmente que me encuentro en tierras Peruanas, ese DOJO lo llevo en mi corazón, por lo que me siento muy contento de poder retomar este arte milenario como lo es el KARATE DO.

It is important to understand the message that SHUTOKUKAN conveys. We have the first part of the word "SHU" which means "to master", the second word "TOKU" means "virtue" and finally "KAN" which is "house". And in my opinion, the meaning of the mixture of these three words is that from the mastery of KARATE DO many VIRTUES are derived, which translate into important values such as respect, discipline, and that we learn in our HOME, a nice metaphor to refer to the DOJO where we are formed, where we are all brothers. Currently that I am in Peruvian lands, that DOJO I carry in my heart, so I am very happy to be able to resume this ancient art as it is the KARATE DO.

Nunca es tarde cuando de aprender se trata, y actualmente con mis 32 años de edad tengo todo el entusiasmo para alcanzar el cinturón negro, es una meta que con mucha disciplina y constancia la lograré. Estaré compartiendo con la comunidad todos mis avances, las pruebas requeridas para avanzar de nivel, y por supuesto mis participaciones en eventos. Al mismo tiempo, espero ser una ventana para dar a conocer al mundo a las personas que cultivan la disciplina del KARATE DO, a través de interacciones como esta que acabamos de apreciar. El KARATE DO un excelente complemento para el fortalecimiento de la mente y cuerpo, y espero con mis publicaciones te animes a practicar esta disciplina. Hasta una próxima oportunidad mi gente linda. It is never too late when it comes to learning, and currently with my 32 years of age I have all the enthusiasm to reach the black belt, it is a goal that with a lot of discipline and perseverance I will achieve.
