Para los que aun no saben, Jorge y yo somos de la ciudad de Maracaibo, una ciudad que tiene un género musical único y que durante muchos años ha contagiado a toda Venezuela en la época decembrinas.

La gaita es un género que nos identifica y que forma parte de nuestra vida, ese ritmo tan pegajoso y particular que va acompañado con letras que por lo general narran vivencias y que también ha servido como una voz de protesta durante muchos años.

For those who still do not know, Jorge and I are from the city of Maracaibo, a city that has a unique musical genre and that for many years has infected all of Venezuela in the December season.

The GAITA is a genre that identifies us and that is part of our life, that catchy and particular rhythm that is accompanied by lyrics that usually narrate experiences and that has also served as a voice of protest for many years.

Pero no sólo eso, es un ritmo que apenas lo escuchamos (Quienes vivimos aca) sabemos que se convierte en tradición en diciembre, es decir, es un género que incita a la fiesta y a las reuniones familiares. Razón por la cual decidimos tocar un par de gaitas que nos alegran la vida, una de ella habla sobre el amor que sentimos por nuestra madre, ese ser divino que Dios nos dio y que es el pilar de nuestras vidas; y la otra es una gaita icónica de esta ciudad " La gaita Onomatopeyica", es una GAITA que no tiene letra, pero si resulta ser bastante fiestera.

Así que a gozar, que se aproxima diciembre.
