La plazoleta es enorme, espaciosa y bonita, hermosa. Con ese monumento central que fue diseñado por Enrique Olivera Arrollo y representa una garza. Las Garzas son aves migratorias. Ésos semi arcos alrededor como si fuera una jaula cortada, me resultó muy evocativo y pienso que tiene que ver con el pájaro que vuela hacia la libertad. Debería investigar más del autor y su obra.

Y luego luego está, esa iglesia enorme que me recordó a la Basílica de Chiquinquirá en mi natal Maracaibo, Venezuela...

The plaza is huge, spacious and beautiful. With that central monument that was designed by Enrique Olivera Arrollo and represents a heron. Herons are migratory birds. Those half arches around it as if it were a cut cage, I found it very evocative and I think it has to do with the bird that flies to freedom. I should do more research on the author and his work.
And then there is this huge church that reminded me of the Basilica of Chiquinquira in my native Maracaibo, Venezuela...

En verdad no pasamos demasiado tiempo en Nuevo Chimbote, solo unas pocas horas. Estoy seguro de que tiene muchisimo para ofrecer, vi en internet que hay playas y todo pero como no las visité por el escaso tiempo, no puedo decir demasiado de ellas.

En cuanto a las calles que nosotros tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer, muy bonitas y organizadas. Por la tardesita cuando cae el ocaso debe ser otra cosa. Que alegría poder conocer tan bonitos lugares.

We really didn't spend too much time in Nuevo Chimbote, just a few hours. I am sure it has a lot to offer, I saw on the internet that there are beaches and everything but as I did not visit them because of the short time, I can't say too much about them.
As for the streets that we had the opportunity to visit, very nice and organized. In the evening when the sunset falls, it must be something else. What a joy to get to know such beautiful places.
