Hello adventurous friends, today I bring you a beautiful post, we will go to visit the lungs of the protected Guadiana mountain range in the south of Portugal, a land known for its plains and its geology, when we walk among its precarious paths we feel the wild side of Portugal Seeing our shoes and pants all red filled with sand that decorates the Alentejo landscape, the waterfall is very visited in summer by Spanish tourists who come looking for the same answer as me.... Hola amigos aventureros, hoy les traigo un hermoso post, iremos a visitar el pulmon de la sierra protegida de Guadiana en el sur de Portugal, una tierra conocida por sus planicies y su geologia, cuando caminamos entre sus precarios caminos sentimos el lado salvaje de Portugal al ver nuestros zapatos y pantalones todos rojos llenos de una arena que decora el paisaje alentejano, la cascada es muy visitada en verano por turistas Españoles quienes vienen buscando la misma respuesta que yo.... Porque se llama cascada salto del lobo???🌻🌄

It is my first time inside the interior of Alentejo, which would be the southern area of Portugal above the Algarve, Alentejo has a whole repertoire of ecosystems from the Alentejo beaches to the beautiful Guadiana nature reserve where if you are lucky you can see a wild lynx There are only 200 species of them loose in 66 thousand hectares, in addition to deer and other animals, the Guadiana reserve is a mandatory visit if you come to the south of the country. It seems like an edition but in reality the landscape here is very red and the sand is too slippery.🍍🧭🚩

Es mi primera vez dentro del interior de Alentejo, que seria la zona sur de Portugal por encima de Algarve, alentejo tiene todo un repertorio de ecosistemas desde las playas alentejanas hasta la hermosa reserva natural de la Guadiana donde si tienes suerte puedes ver un lince salvaje, solo existen 200 especies de ellos sueltos en 66mil hectareas, ademas de venados y otros animales la reserva de Guadiana es una visita obligatoria si vienes al sur del pais. Parece edicion pero en realidad el paisaje aqui es asi muy rojo y la arena demasiada resbaladiza. 🧭🚙🌏🙇‍♂️

Alentejo is not only plains and wine plantations, it is also known for its more than 180 species of birds that inhabit the entire Guadiana reserve. I was not lucky enough to see an Iberian Lynx but I did see deer very far away, which are difficult to observe and whose best time of activity is in the afternoons, Alentejo is full of hectares for agricultural and livestock use, but in one of the warmest areas of the country who would say that the Guadiana River gives the landscape an almost surreal view from a science fiction movie! The best time to visit the reserve is in autumn because the streets are very narrow and in summer it is quite difficult to drive on them!🧭🚩🍍

Alentejo no solo son planicies y siembra de vinos, tambien se descata por sus mas de 180 especies de aves que habitan en toda la reserva del Guadiana, no tuve la suerte de ver un Lince iberico pero si alcance muy a lo lejos venados que son dificiles de observar y cuya mejor hora de actividad son en las tardes, alentejo esta lleno de hectareas para uso de agricultura y agropecuaria, pero en una de las zonas mas calidas del pais quien diria que el rio Guadiana le confiere al paisaje una vista surreal casi sacada de una pelicula de ciencia ficcion! la mejor epoca para visitar la reserva es en otoño porque las calles son muy angostas y en verano es bastante complicado conducir en ellas!🚙🌄🚩

The Alentejo legend dictates that one day a young man was walking at dusk along the banks of the Guadiana River when he suddenly saw a wolf behind a hare, and he sat down to observe that quick event that would last a few seconds. Suddenly he saw the hare jump the river from one side to the other and at the same time the wolf made an incredible jump to the waterfall to hunt the hare that was captured in the air, the voice spread throughout the village until the waterfall was named Wolf's Leap and dozens of years Afterwards it still bears the name of the legend!👀🧭

Dicta la leyenda alentejana que un dia un joven iba caminando al atardecer por la ribera del rio Guadiana cuando de pronto vio un lobo atras de una liebre, y se sento a observar ese suceso rapido y que duraria pocos segundos, de repente vio la liebre saltar el rio de un lado al otro y al mismo tiempo el lobo dar un increible salto a la cascada para cazar la liebre que fue capturada en el aire, la voz se exparcio por toda la aldea hasta bautizar la cascada salto del lobo y decenas de años despues aun lleva el nombre de la leyenda!👀🚩

Lo que hace que el paisaje tenga estas caracteristicas es gracias a la fuerza del rio y las propiedades calcareas de las rocas alentejanas muy faciles de erosionar, esta cascada lleva miles o quizas millones de años esculpiendo el suelo que visto desde el drone es algo indescriptible, El unico Portugues en ganar en premio nobel en literatura (Jose Saramago) escribio este poema al rio guaidiana: "donde las aguas converjan, golpean, refluyen y van royendo la roca un milimetro por siglo, por milenio, lo que parece nada en la gran eternidad"...🌊🌏

My wife and I always have a moment to reflect and think about all our projects, nature is part of my life and when I have some difficulties I simply visit places like these to motivate me, they are like a natural medicine against any depression or obstacle! Today Alentejo showed me its wild side, this walk was worth it...🧭🍍🙇‍♂️

Siempre mi esposa y yo tenemos un momento para reflexionar y pensar en todos nuestros proyectos, la naturaleza forma parte de mi vida y cuando tengo algunas dificultades simplemente visite lugares como estos para motivarme, son como una medicina natural contra cualquier depresion o obstaculo! hoy alentejo me mostro su lado salvaje, valio la pena esta caminata...🌷🌻🧭

You can drive your car down here, be careful with the road, it is sandy and a little complicated. I would say that you are not at risk if it is a small car, but be careful if you are going down with your family, if you have children or elderly people. DO NOT DO THE TRAIL, the climbs are hard! Puedes pasar con tu carro hasta aqui abajo cuidado con la carretera es de arena y es un poco complicada, diria que no corres riesgos si es un carro pequeño pero ten precaucion esto si vas a bajar con tu familia si tienes hijos o personas de tercera edad NO HAGAS EL SENDERO, las subidas son duras! el acceso es gratuito no revise el horario pero creo que nunca cierra!👨‍🏫🌄
