Amanecer en la Montaña / Sunrise on the Mountain

En esta oportunidad les traigo parte del entrenamiento que estamos haciendo muy temprano en la mañana, se ha convertido en un deleite regalarle a todos nuestros sentidos estar presentes en el despuntar del alba, escogimos la carretera de montaña que conduce a Ocumare de la Costa- Aragua- Venezuela. Por razones de seguridad evitamos el trafico de la ciudad a estas horas, las personas a veces van apuradas a sus trabajos o al colegio a dejar a sus hijos y es peligroso exponerse ante la premura de llegar a tiempo.

This time I bring you part of the training we are doing very early in the morning, it has become a delight to give all our senses to be present at the break of dawn, we chose the mountain road leading to Ocumare de la Costa- Aragua- Venezuela. For safety reasons we avoid the traffic of the city at this time, people sometimes go in a hurry to their jobs or school to drop off their children and it is dangerous to expose themselves in the rush to get there on time.

Sin planificar mucho la noche anterior, Claudia y mi persona decidimos camino a la montaña hacer doble Guamita, lo mas cumbre de esta historia es que en la noche anterior hubo luna llena y al llegar a la alcabala del Limón aún ésta reflejaba su belleza (tomé foto pero no hizo honor a la realidad), fué cuestión de minutos que presenciamos una danza armónica entre la despedida de la luna y el saludo del sol quienes se sincronizaron para iluminar la carretera, tuvimos la dicha de llegar a tiempo a un pequeño mirador en la montaña para quedar extasiadas ante los primeros rayos del astro (bendita sincronía).

Without planning much the night before, Claudia and I decided on our way to the mountain to do double Guamita, the highlight of this story is that the night before there was a full moon and when we arrived at the alkabala del Limón it was still reflecting its beauty (I took a picture but it did not honor the reality), It was a matter of minutes that we witnessed a harmonic dance between the farewell of the moon and the greeting of the sun who synchronized to illuminate the road, we were fortunate to arrive in time to a small viewpoint in the mountain to be ecstatic before the first rays of the star (blessed synchrony).

Ser testigos de tanta belleza nos alegra el corazón, sabemos que las dos horas que estamos sumergidas en la montaña se olvida todo lo demás, el tiempo se detiene y solo existe el momento presente, nuestra presencia sobre la bicicleta en constante movimiento para superarnos a nosotras mismas en cada vuelta de pedal. De la alcabala a Guamita hay 5 kilómetros, es una subida constante (no muy exigente), en la primera vuelta cuando volvimos a la alcabala nos encontramos con Greisis y Tomas, esperamos unos minutos mientras nuestro compañero le puso aire a un caucho.

Witnessing so much beauty makes our hearts happy, we know that the two hours we are immersed in the mountain we forget everything else, time stops and there is only the present moment, our presence on the bike in constant movement to surpass ourselves in each turn of the pedal. From the alcabala to Guamita there are 5 kilometers, it is a constant climb (not very demanding), in the first lap when we returned to the alcabala we met Greisis and Tomas, we waited a few minutes while our partner put air in a rubber.

Volvimos a subir cada uno a su ritmo y velocidad, Claudia aprovechó de hacerlo en "bailarina", yo aproveché de aumentar velocidad, al conseguirnos nuevamente, compartimos un rico café, tomar foto y despedirnos; nosotras a la ciudad y ellos al nuevo Mirador. Esta mañana de 20 kilómetros no solo nos regaló actividad física, nos dió además conexión con maravillas naturales que alegran el alma...definitivamente, seguimos en movimiento por la vida.

Claudia took the opportunity to do it as a "dancer", I took the opportunity to increase speed, when we met again, we shared a delicious coffee, took a picture and said goodbye; we to the city and they to the new Mirador. This morning of 20 kilometers not only gave us physical activity, it also gave us connection with natural wonders that gladden the soul ... definitely, we are still moving through life.
