Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, es un placer acompañarles nuevamente en la gran tarima de Open Mic. La semana pasada no pude compartir una entrada, pues la señal de internet me jugo una mala pasada, pero aquí estoy nuevamente en una de las comunidades más calidad y rehabilitadoras. Esta vez la temática es “Traditional Music” y para participar con esa bella propuesta, decidí traerles una conmovedora canción que forma parte de la cultura popular de Venezuela, específicamente del estado Zulia.

Se trata de “Constancia de un pescador” decimas escritas por el poeta popular PEDRO PALMAR e interpretado magistral mente por la cantora Venezolana CECILIA TODD. Esta canción siempre me ha parecido hermosa, no solo por su impecable poesía, también por la realidad que proyecta en cuanto a la vida de los pescadores que tienen que abandonar su oficio, al ser atropellados por un sistema capitalista que precarisa sus condiciones de trabajo y arrasa con las culturas y los medios de producción tradicionales, en nombre de una idea de “progreso” que beneficia a unos pocos y arrastra a muchos otros a la pobreza.

Esta canción forma parte de la música tradicional de Venezuela, ya que es una bella decima Zuliana, que se popularizo en la voz de una de las más grandes exponentes de la música tradicional. Last week I could not share an entry, because the internet signal played a trick on me, but here I am again in one of the most quality and rehabilitative communities. This time the theme is "Traditional Music" and to participate with this beautiful proposal, I decided to bring you a touching song that is part of the popular culture of Venezuela, specifically from the state of Zulia.

It is "Constancia de un pescador" decimas written by the popular poet PEDRO PALMAR and masterfully interpreted by the Venezuelan singer CECILIA TODD.
