Hola, amigos de #GeekZone. El día de hoy les traigo la conclusión de esta maravillosa aventura point and click llamada Escape from the Shadow. Para los que se perdieron el gameplay anterior, este juego pertenece a una saga de misterio sobrenatural, la cual está situada en un pueblo llamado Hidden Town en el cual ocurren desapariciones y toda clase de cosas macabras. Esta es la séptima entrega de la saga y se relaciona directamente con dos entregas anteriores, sirviendo de conclusión para las mismas.

En Escape from the Shadows jugamos con un detective que investiga la desaparición de un joven y con dos chicos que se encuentran en un lugar tenebroso llamado Penumbra. Al igual que en la primera parte de este juego, en esta alternamos tanto personajes como mundos, es decir, debemos resolver acertijos en el mundo real usando el personaje del detective Larsen y en penumbra, siendo Bastian y Laia los personajes que usaremos en ese sitio. Esta dinámica me gustó mucho y es de mis favoritas en toda la saga, ya que nos permite explorar diferentes partes e ir desentrañando todos los misterios ocultas en penumbra.

Esta entrega creo que ha sido de mis favoritas, si no es que LA favorita. Es bastante más larga que las anteriores y los acertijos son desafiantes, pero a la vez fluidos. Todos tienen muchísimo sentido y si prestamos suficiente atención a los detalles y a los alrededores, lograremos resolverlos sin muchos problemas. La trama le da un cierre excelente tanto a la historia de Bastian como a la de Laia, aunque me sigue quedando la incógnita del origen de Penumbra, pero supongo que esto será explicado en una entrega posterior.

El final fue impactante y dio un giro que, aunque no me esperaba, tuvo todo el sentido del mundo. Sin duda, es un gran juego, que se encuentra a la par de las entregas anteriores y que les recomiendo muchísimo, sobre todo si les gustan los escape rooms. Quizás lo único que podría criticarle es que tiene mucha más publicidad que los anteriores, lo cual es un poco molesto porque justamente la ponen cuando viene una “cinemática” en la que va a pasar algo interesante o misterioso. Fuera de eso es fantástico, además de una historia interesante, tiene un arte bellísimo y una musicalización estupenda. Es un juego gratuito, así que no duden en probarlo.

A shocking conclusion | "Escape from the Shadows" - Gameplay

Hello, #GeekZone friends. Today I bring you the conclusion of this wonderful point and click adventure called Escape from the Shadow. For those who missed the previous gameplay, this game belongs to a supernatural mystery saga, which is set in a town called Hidden Town in which disappearances and all kinds of macabre things happen. This is the seventh installment of the saga and is directly related to two previous installments, serving as a conclusion to them.

In Escape from the Shadows we play a detective investigating the disappearance of a young man and two boys who find themselves in a spooky place called Penumbra. As in the first part of this game, in this one we alternate both characters and worlds, that is, we must solve puzzles in the real world using the detective's character Larsen and in Penumbra, being Bastian and Laia the characters we will use in that place. I really liked this dynamic, and it's one of my favorites in the whole saga, since it allows us to explore different parts and unravel all the mysteries hidden in penumbra.

This installment I think has been one of my favorites, if not THE favorite. It's quite a bit longer than the previous ones and the puzzles are challenging, but fluid at the same time. They all make a ton of sense and if you pay enough attention to the details and surroundings, you'll manage to solve them without much trouble. The plot gives excellent closure to both Bastian and Laia's story, although I'm still left wondering about Penumbra's origin, but I guess this will be explained in a later installment.

The ending was shocking and gave a twist that, although I wasn't expecting it, made all the sense in the world. Without a doubt, it's a great game, which is on par with the previous installments and which I highly recommend, especially if you like escape rooms. Perhaps the only thing I could criticize is that it has much more advertising than the previous ones, which is a bit annoying because they put it just when there is a "cinematic " in which something interesting or mysterious is going to happen. Other than that it's fantastic, besides an interesting story, it has beautiful art and great music. It's a free game, so don't hesitate to try it.
