Hola, amigos de #geekzone. Hoy les comparto el gameplay de un juego nuevo que tuve la oportunidad de probar el día de ayer. Se llama "The girl in the window" (la chica de la ventana). Es una aventura point and click desarrollada para Android por el estudio "Dark Dome". Esta versión que probé es gratuita aunque cuenta con anuncios, sin embargo, existe una opción de comprar una versión premium en la que se elimina la publicidad y se agrega una escena secreta extra.

La historia se desarrolla en un pueblo llamado "Hidden Town" (vaya nombre para un pueblo) y cuenta la historia de un joven que se ve atraído hacia una casa con la finalidad de investigar un suceso macabro que ocurrió hace algún tiempo en ese lugar. Como jugadores tomamos el control del joven investigador y nos veremos atrapado en un salón en el cual tendremos que recolectar pistas y resolver acertijos para poder escapar.

Podríamos ubicar el juego dentro del género de los "escape room", ya que es básicamente eso lo que hacemos. Me encantó que tiene una temática bastante sombría, de hecho, a medida que vamos avanzando con la investigación nos damos cuenta de que a la "chica de la ventana" le pasó algo bastante malo, lo que al parecer tiene a su espíritu atrapado en esa casa, ya que varias veces la vemos aparecer para darnos un buen susto.

Me encantaron los puzzles, creo que fueron lo suficientemente ingeniosos como para mantenerme entretenida, y a la vez no fueron completamente imposible de resolver sin ayuda, como me ha pasado en otros juegos. Tiene una jugabilidad bastante fluida y me mantuvo completamente pegada a él hasta que lo terminé, sí, me lo terminé en una sola sentada.

Ese justamente es el único punto negativo que puedo encontrarle, es bastante corto, me tardé menos de 50 minutos en resolverlo por completo. Si tomamos en cuenta que tuve varios baches en los que no sabía qué hacer y me tardé varios minutos en agarrarle la onda al acertijo y a las pistas, se podría decir que puede terminarse en solo media hora o quizás menos. Supongo que la apuesta del estudio fue dividir la historia del pueblo "Hidden Town" en varias entregas, ya que además de este juego hay otros cinco basados en diferentes leyendas del mismo lugar, así que creo que voy a terminar probándolos todos para enterarme de la historia completa.

Fue una experiencia bastante satisfactoria, el diseño me gustó bastante, al igual que la musicalización, y, al ser un point and click, los controles son demasiado sencillo. Me puso a pensar y observar el entorno, además de sacarme unos buenos sustos. Pero lo que más me gustó es que al final la historia del chico dio un giro bastante interesante, el cual terminó haciendo de los acontecimientos algo mucho más macabro de lo que ya era.

Definitivamente, se los recomiendo, no haya demasiada excusa para no jugarlo, es corto, es gratis y tiene una gran jugabilidad, así que si les gusta este tipo de aventuras, no pierdan la oportunidad de probarlo. Les dejo el enlace para que puedan instalarlo fácilmente: The girl in the window

The mystery of The Girl in the Window | Full gameplay

Hello, #geekzone friends. Today I'm sharing with you the gameplay of a new game I had the chance to try yesterday. It's called "The girl in the window". It's a point and click adventure developed for Android by the studio "Dark Dome". This version I tried is free although it has ads, however, there is an option to buy a premium version in which the ads are removed and an extra secret scene is added.

The story takes place in a town called "Hidden Town" (what a name for a town) and tells the story of a young man who is drawn to a house in order to investigate a macabre event that happened some time ago in that place. As players we take control of the young investigator and find ourselves trapped in a room where we have to collect clues and solve puzzles in order to escape.

We could place the game in the "escape room " genre, as that's basically what we do. I loved that it has a pretty dark theme, in fact, as we progress with the investigation we realise that something pretty bad happened to the "girl in the window", which apparently has her spirit trapped in that house, as several times we see her appear to give us a good scare.

I loved the puzzles, I think they were clever enough to keep me entertained, and at the same time they weren't completely impossible to solve without help, as has happened to me in other games. It has pretty fluid gameplay and kept me completely glued to it until I finished it, yes, I finished it in one sitting.

That's the only negative point I can find, it's quite short, it took me less than 50 minutes to solve it completely. If we take into account that I had several bumps where I didn't know what to do, and it took me several minutes to get the hang of the puzzle and the clues, you could say that it can be finished in only half an hour or maybe less. I guess the studio's gamble was to split the story of the "Hidden Town " into several instalments, as there are five other games based on different legends of the same place, so I think I'm going to end up trying them all to get the full story.

It was quite a satisfying experience, I liked the design quite a lot, as well as the music, and, being a point and click, the controls are too simple. It got me thinking and observing the environment, as well as giving me a few good scares. But what I liked the most is that at the end, the boy's story took a pretty interesting turn, which ended up making the events much more macabre than they already were.

I definitely recommend it, there's not too much excuse not to play it, it's short, it's free it has a great gameplay, so if you like this kind of adventures, don't miss the opportunity to try it. I leave you the link, so you can install it easily: The girl in the window
