Cuando hablo acerca de una articulación de una visión de vida personal - independientemente de si seamos creyentes o no - y de establecer fundamentos sanos para escribirla pienso que vale la pena tomar en cuenta - aunque sea filosóficamente - las palabras de Jesús: Cualquiera, pues, que me oye estas palabras, y las hace, le compararé a un hombre prudente, que edificó su casa sobre la roca. 25 Descendió lluvia, y vinieron ríos, y soplaron vientos, y golpearon contra aquella casa; y no cayó, porque estaba fundada sobre la roca. When I talk about articulating a personal vision of life - regardless of whether you are a believer or not - and about laying down sound foundations for writing it I think it is worth taking into account - albeit philosophically - the words of Jesus when he said: Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25. New International Version (NIV)

Hoy como siempre estas palabras siguen teniendo un peso especial y relevante tanto para el individuo como para la sociedad en general. Cualquier edificio que sea construido sin fundamentos sólidos está destinada a derrumbarse. Muchos construyen sobre fundamentos que no son necesariamente duraderos, otros tantos prefieren no pensar al respecto y construyen rápidamente, pero eventualmente todos ellos pagaran las consecuencias de su malas decisiones.

Today as always these words continue to have a special and relevant weight both for the individual and for society in general. Any building that is built without solid foundations is bound to collapse. Many build on foundations that are not necessarily durable, many others prefer not to think about it and build quickly, but eventually, all of them will pay the consequences of their bad decisions.
