Me encanto saber qué decía. Ya que desde niño para mí solo era una bonita melodía, pero ahora que podía entenderla, cambio mi manera de escucharla.
About 23 years after the release of a rock ballad titled "More Than Words" by the rock band Extreme, I would have been about 7 years old, however, it would take 10 more years for this song to make an impact in my life. Since I was a child I have always liked music, which has fueled my desire to learn to speak English. In school, I always had the highest grade in this subject. In the Venezuelan educational system one studies English focused on grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and syntax, however, despite the amount of time invested in its study, very few people learn to speak English, at the same time. unless you take a specialized course or have to migrate and feel obliged to learn. Without a doubt, where there is a need, it is easier to learn. Before enrolling in the University I took a conversational English course, I loved it because I had the opportunity to talk with other people and listen. I remember that a teacher shared the lyrics of the song with us, and with a player, we were able to listen to it. I loved knowing what he said. Since I was a child it was just a beautiful melody, but now that I could understand it, I change the way I listen to it.
This song was composed by the composer Nuno Bettencourt, and in this piece, his interpretation of the Guitar stands out and he also sings together with the vocalist Gary Cherone. When his voices come together they make magic, both share the authorship of the song. It is a mix of soft rock and acoustic rock. Its remastered version can be heard on YouTube and it can be said that it is a Rock classic. The song tells us about the importance of accompanying our words with actions, it is a song that has a great lesson. However, not only do actions speak, but people also need to know that they are loved. Let's say they are two things that should go together. I hope you enjoy my interpretation with the trumpet, this arrangement is in a key of A Flat Major, a key with deep and dark sounds, but pleasant, the original piece is in G Major.
Saying "I love you"
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say but if you only knew
How easy, it would be to show me how you feel
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
'Cause I'd already know
What would you do
If my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say
If I took those words away?
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying "I love you"
La-di-da, da-di-da
Di-dai-dai-da
More than words
La-di-da, da-di-da
Now that I've tried to
Talk to you and make you understand
All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands and touch me
Hold me close, don't ever let me go
More than words is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
'Cause I'd already know
What would you do
If my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say
If I took those words away?
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying "I love you"
