Greetings to all of the Music community and the general public, I want to share my interpretation with the trumpet of Locked Out of Heaven, a musical theme by Bruno Mars that is part of the Unorthodox Jukebox album and produced by Atlantic Records. The theme was composed by The Smeezingtons, with the cooperation of Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, and Emile Haynie. It is of the reggae-rock genre, and a fusion of rhythms such as new wave, funk, and Rhythm and Blues. The theme is composed in D minor and I interpret it in E minor. I got a piece of sheet music for the alto saxophone, and it is not in the same key as the trumpet, I had to perform a mental transport, reading it with a bass clef, and raising it a tone above it.
One of the things that minor keys have is that they show a sad emotion, the lyrics do not escape from that. The Rhythm contrasts with the lyrics, it is much happier. It speaks of someone downcast, and sad. This person feels that he has been blocked from heaven, that he has been left out. I think that each person has gone through different circumstances in terms of love, no one is exempt from spite and from feeling that life with that person was like being in heaven, and now that they are not, you feel blocked, and out of that world that you loved.
'Cause you make me feel like
I've been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long
Yeah, you make me feel like
I've been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long
I've been locked out of heaven
Been locked out of heaven
'Cause you make me feel like
I've been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long
Yeah, you make me feel like
I've been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long
I've been locked out of heaven
I've been locked out of heaven
Been locked out of heaven
I've been locked out of heaven
Been locked out of heaven
Been locked out of heaven
