    Hace unos meses, Pablo Sisiruca, médico traumatólogo y amigo, en forma de consejo me dijo: Te voy a dar el mismo consejo que le doy a todos mis pacientes, para bajar los niveles de inflamación del cuerpo, ya sea por enfermedades crónicas u otras razones, es necesario iniciar una dieta antiinflamatoria.

    La dieta inflamatoria que me indicó consiste en eliminar enlatados, embutidos, harinas, pastas, arroz, azúcar, pimentón, berenjena, tomate y papa. A mí me encanta cocinar, pero cuando vi las restricciones, al principio me pregunté con molestia, ¿y ahora qué voy a comer?, estaba con la mente bloqueada.

    La verdad es que no es fácil, pero a veces nuestro cuerpo nos habla y hacemos caso omiso, hasta que nos pasa factura.

    Para iniciar decidí hacer una lista con los alimentos que, si podía comer para enfocarme en eso y no en lo que me habían eliminado, con el pasar de los días iba creando combinaciones con las opciones que tenía a la mano de forma más fácil.

    ¿Saben que es lo mejor? Que me está dando resultado. Por eso he decidido compartir parte de esta experiencia y de mis recetas con ustedes por si quieren hacer cambios en su alimentación.

    Hoy les presento este almuerzo de camarones sofritos con ajo y cilantro, acompañado de una exquisita ensalada y plátanos verdes.

I love to cook, but when I saw the restrictions, at first I asked myself with discomfort, and now what am I going to eat, my mind was blocked.

    The truth is that it is not easy, but sometimes our body speaks to us, and we ignore it, until it takes its toll.

    To start with, I decided to make a list with the foods that I could eat to focus on that and not on what had been eliminated. As the days went by, I was creating combinations with the options that I had at hand in an easier way.

    You know what the best part is? It's working for me. That's why I have decided to share part of this experience and my recipes with you in case you want to make changes in your diet.

    Today I present this lunch of sautéed shrimp with garlic and cilantro, accompanied by a delicious salad and green plantains.
