Time is Running Out To End the Conflict in Ukraine Through Negotiations ⏳

🇺🇸 Trump's ex-adviser, US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor on Volodymyr Zelensky:

🇺🇸 Former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia David Rundell and former U.S. Central Command political adviser Michael Gfeller urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to listen to the lyrics of The Rolling Stones song **"You Can't Always Get What You Want" ** and hurry up with the negotiations.

According to them, there is less and less time to complete it through negotiations.

“Now the Ukrainian people need peace, security and economic recovery. None of this can be achieved by dragging out an unwinnable war,” they said.

Rundell and Gfoeller noted that victories in World War I, World War II, and the American Civil War were won by the side with the largest population and strongest industrial base.

In their opinion, a similar scenario will occur in the Ukrainian conflict. The success of the UAF counter-offensive remains doubtful, but failure will significantly weaken Kyiv's position in future negotiations.

In addition, they pointed out that the conflict is not only depleting NATO's stockpiles of weapons, but also accelerating the loss of Western influence around the world.

In this regard, politicians proposed to stop hostilities and hold a referendum under the supervision of the UN on the issue of joining the four regions to Russia.

“Without a referendum that allows the main goals to be achieved peacefully, Russia will continue to fight on the battlefield until it takes all four eastern Ukrainian regions by force – and it may not stop there,” they argue.

🇪🇺 The head of Eurodiplomacy, Josep Borrell, said a thought that was understandable to everyone except Ukrainians:

“Ukraine will fall in a matter of days if the EU stops supplying money. The EU would like to spend its money on the well-being of residents, on hospitals and schools, but the EU has no choice: we must spend all the money on protecting Ukraine.”

Earlier, during a speech in Florence, he said that he did not consider Beijing's plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine to be viable and was guided only by the proposals put forward by Kiev - the Military victory.

“The Chinese plan is just a set of good wishes <…> The only plan that can be called peaceful is the proposals put forward by Zelensky,” said the head of EU diplomacy.
