Llevo aproximadamente año y medio en este mundo del baile latino y en esta cuarentena me he puesto a practicar observando vídeos de bailarinas reconocidas como Sara, Desiree y Alemana, quienes practican y enseñan más sobre el arte del Lady Style en la bachata sensual y tradicional en el caso de Alemana.

I have been in this Latin dance world for about a year and a half and in this quarantine I have started practicing watching videos of renowned dancers such as Sara, Desiree and Alemana who practice and teach more about the art of Lady Style in sensual bachata and trational bachata.

¿ Qué es el Lady Style?

Es una modalidad de la bachata sensual o bachata salón donde generalmente se realizan pasos libres acompañados de muchas ondas, movimientos de caderas y hélices de manos y brazos arreglados, ésta modalidad se baila en tacones ya que la idea es despertar el lado más sensual y femenino de la bailarina. Lo más divertido del lady style es que no necesitas pareja para divertirte con un poco de música y creatividad en pasos libres puedes ser toda una diosa.

What is Lady Style?

It is a modality of sensual bachata or lounge bachata where free steps are generally performed accompanied by many waves, hip movements and arranged helices of the hands and arms, this modality is danced in heels since the idea is to awaken the most sensual and feminine side of the dancer. The most fun thing about lady style is that you don't need a partner to have fun with a little music and creativity in free steps, you can be a goddess.

Esta modalidad nace junto con la bachata sensual en Europa y Estados Unidos y se diferencia de la bachata dominicana ya que en éste género se fusionan diversos instrumentos románticos como piano, violines y suele ser un poco más lenta que la habitual bachata dominicana.

This modality was born together with sensual bachata in Europe and the United States and differs from Dominican bachata since in this genre various romantic instruments such as piano, violins merge and is usually a little slower than the usual Dominican bachata.
