Enforcing Free Speech with a Decentralised Blockchain

The need for free speech cannot be over emphasised. Freedom of speech is a basic and fundamental human right although it might have some extreme limitations. People now tend to misuse those limitations to suit their motives.Just two days ago I was discussing with a friend of mine where we were talking about how Facebook and Instagram censor a lot of things unnecessarily. They are very bias in their operations and always tend to want to favour government. This makes me wonder if those social media are government agencies? You release a video calling out the wrong doings of the government or maybe some big companies and then they take it down and even ban you at times in the name of abusive content.
I want to use my country as an instance here. A bill was recently passed in the Senate for social media censorship on fake news. This is like passing to law an infringement on human rights. Now whenever you speak against the government it is termed with the phrase fake news. Laws like this can only be manipulated by the government to suit their own motives and holds no true favour to the masses.

This is the reason I have decided to stick with a truly decentralized blockchain like Hive. Here everything is decided by the community. You can only be Downvote by other communities when you say or spread things that are fake or not appealing to the community members. There is no single power at the centre who can manipulate things to suit them. We are all stake holders and we all have a right in the governance and we can call them out to their wrong doings.
