Hello Afri-tunes community, welcome to week #109 of our weekly contest. I trust we all are doing okay. For this week I'd be covering a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter Oxlade called "Ku lo sa". This song was released 2 years back (2022) and was an instant success when it came out topping several charts and getting major accolades home and abroad. I have chosen to perform this song because obviously it's one I really love to listen to, the beat is so good, lovely melody and amazing vocals from Oxlade himself, it's a really beautiful love song. Ku lo sa is more like saying closer as the lyrics of the song implies he wants he and his love interest to become closer and intimate. You appreciate your person for sticking with you through thick and thin, all the little things they do make you fall even harder for them and you won't have it any other way. You want forever with this person but the only limiting factor is the distance between you two, and you wish you both were closer (ku lo sa) to each other so you can express your love easily without no restrictions or boundaries. You understand the odds aren't in your favour, the distance between you two, your love interest's family don't even accept you. But then you assure her of your unwavering love for her, you'd never trade her for anything or anyone else in the world. You'd do anything just to ensure you two become closer 😉. Hola comunidad de Afri-tunes, bienvenidos a la semana 109 de nuestro concurso semanal. Confío en que todos estemos bien. Esta semana haré un cover de una canción del cantante y compositor nigeriano Oxlade llamada "Ku lo sa". Esta canción se lanzó hace 2 años (2022) y fue un éxito instantáneo cuando encabezó varias listas y obtuvo importantes elogios en el país y en el extranjero. Elegí interpretar esta canción porque obviamente es una que realmente me encanta escuchar, el ritmo es muy bueno, una melodía encantadora y una voz increíble del propio Oxlade, es una canción de amor realmente hermosa. Ku lo sa es más como decir "más cerca", ya que la letra de la canción implica que quiere que él y su interés amoroso se vuelvan más cercanos e íntimos. Aprecias a tu persona por estar contigo en las buenas y en las malas, todas las pequeñas cosas que hace te hacen enamorarte aún más de ella y no lo tendrás de otra manera. Quieres estar para siempre con esta persona, pero el único factor limitante es la distancia entre ustedes dos, y desearías que ambos estuvieran más cerca (ku lo sa) el uno del otro para poder expresar su amor fácilmente sin restricciones ni límites. Entiendes que las probabilidades no están a tu favor, la distancia entre ustedes dos, la familia de tu interés amoroso ni siquiera te acepta. Pero luego le aseguras tu amor inquebrantable por ella, que nunca la cambiarías por nada ni por nadie en el mundo. Harías cualquier cosa para asegurarte de que ustedes dos se vuelvan más cercanos 😉.
