Good vibes, Hive Open Mic friends! I'm happy to be part of #openmic week 156. The theme for this occasion is To the Extreme, and it’s a very powerful expression according to my point of view, because everything that is done to the extreme implies a huge passion and attachment, so that we could go to the top of our will for something or someone without setting any limits.

In this opportunity, I am going to present you once again an instrumental cover of a piece that I think is in line with this week's theme. Until my Last Breath is the promotional single of the second studio album of the Finnish singer and songwriter Tarja Turunen, called What Lies Beneath, released in 2010.

Tarja is an artist that I admire very much, in fact I had the opportunity to see her in her concert in Caracas in 2009 and it was an extraordinary experience that I remember with much love and emotion. I hope I have the joy of seeing her live again someday because her charisma and her voice are unique and unrepeatable attributes.

For this cover I used the app. Moises app to subtract the audio of the original guitar and bass, leaving only voice and drums, so I could integrate my instruments to accompany the track. The distortion of the electric guitar was achieved using a virtual amp from Guitar Rig (preset 025 Goldchair Rythm). The video was edited with the Movavi and Capcut apps. I placed the video of the song in the background of my instrumental performance so we could also see the events.

¡Buenas vibras, amigos de Hive Open Mic! Estoy feliz de formar parte de la semana 156 del #openmic. La temática para esta ocasión es Hasta el Extremo, y es una expresión muy poderosa según mi punto de vista, pues todo lo que se haga hasta el extremo implica una enorme pasión y apego, de modo tal que se podría llegar hasta el tope de nuestra voluntad por algo o alguien sin ponernos ningún tipo de límites.

En esta oportunidad, me dispongo a presentares una vez más un cover instrumental de una pieza que me parece va acorde con la temática de esta semana. Until my Last Breath (Hasta mi Último Aliento), es el sencillo promocional del segundo álbum de estudio de la cantante y compositora finlandesa Tarja Turunen, llamado What Lies Beneath, publicado en 2010.

Tarja es una artista que admiro mucho, de hecho tuve la oportunidad de verla en su concierto en Caracas en 2009 y fue una experiencia extraordinaria que recuerdo con mucho cariño y emoción. Ojala tenga la dicha de volver a verla en vivo algún día pues su carisma y su voz son atributos únicos e irrepetibles.

Para este cover utilicé la app. Moises para sustraer el audio de la guitarra y el bajo original, dejando solo voz y batería, de manera de poder integrar mis instrumentos para acompañar la pista. La distorsión de la guitarra eléctrica fue lograda mediante un amplificador virtual del programa Guitar Rig (preset 025 Goldchair Rythm). El video fue editado con las app Movavi y Capcut. Coloqué el video de la canción al fondo de mi performance instrumental y así ver también los acontecimientos del mismo.
