    Hello, food lovers! On this special occasion I want to share with all of you a traditional dessert not only in Venezuela, but in several Latin American countries, such as Rice with Coconut and Sweet Spices. A real delight for the most demanding palates. Let's see the ingredients and the step by step of this recipe.

    ¡Hola, amantes de la gastronomía! En esta ocasión especial deseo compartir con todos ustedes un postre tradicional no solo en Venezuela, sino en varios países de Latinoamérica, como lo es el Arroz con Coco y Especias dulces. Toda una delicia para el paladar de los más exigentes. Vamos a ver los ingredientes y el paso a paso de esta receta.

    We will need ǀ Vamos a necesitar:

  • 2 cups of white rice ǀ 2 Tazas de arroz blanco
  • 1 medium grated coconut ǀ 1 Coco mediano rallado
  • Sweet cloves and cinnamon powder to taste ǀ Clavos de olor y canela en polvo al gusto.
  • Vanilla essence to taste ǀ Esencia de vainilla al gusto
  • ½ cup sugar or sweetener of your choice ǀ ½ Taza de azúcar o el endulzante de tu preferencia.
  • 500 ml milk ǀ 500 ml de leche.
  • Preparation:

  • First of all, wash the rice very well and cook it with enough water and the sweet cloves until it is al dente.
  • Then add the rest of the ingredients, starting with the milk.
  • Then add the sugar.
  • We add little by little the previously grated coconut and stir.
  • It’s the turn of the cinnamon powder; I like to add a lot of it. Let it cook until all the ingredients are well integrated. Don’t forget to add a dash of vanilla for flavoring.
  • Once the rice is creamy, we will know that this dessert is almost ready.
  • It only remains to refrigerate and serve with a topping of grated coconut and sweet cloves. And enjoy!
  • Preparación:

  • Primero que todo lavamos muy bien el arroz y lo colocamos a cocinar con suficiente agua y los clavos de olor hasta que esté al dente.
  • Luego vamos colocando los demás ingredientes iniciando con la leche.
  • Luego adicionamos el azúcar.
  • Agregamos poco a poco el coco previamente rallado y removemos.
  • Es el turno de la canela en polvo; a mí me gusta colocarle bastante.
  • Dejamos cocinar hasta que se integren muy bien todos los ingredientes.
  • No olvidemos colocarle un chorrito de vainilla para aromatizar.
  • Una vez que el arroz esté en su punto de cremosidad ya sabremos que este postre está casi listo.
  • Solo resta refrigerar y servir con un topping de coco rallado y clavos de olor. ¡Y a disfrutar!
