Happy weekend, Hive Open Mic Community. It's another beautiful time to share my entry with you guys and for this week 186, the theme is "CINEMA". I did the cover song of "Supermarket Flowers" by Ed Sheeran. Knowing how the week would turn out for me as I have been posted for my NYSC, I did this cover last week in preparation for this week. I won't be posting my entry for the next 2 weeks because there is no time and chance for me at the camp.

When I saw the theme, my mind went to this song and I decided to try it out. This song was sung as a tribute to his grandmother when she passed on. Though Ed's mom felt so sad when her mother passed on, she has got no worries because she knows her mother has gone to heaven. After all, she lived a good life and was a nice woman during her lifetime. According to Ed's mom, her mother wasn't just anyone else but an actual angel sent from heaven and believed that her mom would be welcomed by angels at heaven's gate.

It's always painful when we lose our loved ones but it becomes a joy to us when we believe they are heading towards heaven because of the good lives they lived. This song is just like a story of how everything happened right from when the woman was sick and was driven to the hospital. Ed's mom had cleaned up her room, folded her nightgown and was neatly packed thinking she would come back home. Eventually, she died.

This song also relates to life where we are told to value those small things in life. Supermarket flowers are just like everyday moments people experience and this experience can be as significant as the big or grand one. Going to the supermarket and picking flowers can make an impact on someone especially when you gift it willingly and wholeheartedly. Those small things have value and are meaningful when done with a good heart. So, we mustn't overlook the simple things of life but appreciate and accept them with gladness. We don't know when death will come and it is expected of us to be good and do good to people around us. When we are gone, what will people say about us? Are we being good or cruel to others thinking life will not end? Let's live the best life, be nice to everyone and remember, this life isn't where we would stay forever.

It took me a while before I could get it done, at least to a reasonable point and I hope you enjoy what I brought to you.
