Loving Hive — A Brief Odyssey

Today I want to share with you my hive journey, and my experiences in the past year.

Hive is the best thing that happened to me in 2022. However, I didn't appreciate it so much then because I didn't know much about it.

My inner purpose of joining Hive wasn't to make money, instead, it was to write and share with others. Before joining Hive I had thought I was a good writer because I used to write short stories for my friends while in high school. I think this ego is what drags me down because after writing a few posts without comments and views I began to feel disappointed and started to harbor the thought that Hive is not for me. It was only later I realized that I was missing something. There were many things I was not doing well:)

My journey begins fully in July 2023 after joining The Newbie Initiatives by @starstrings01. It was in the course of the program that I discovered the value of Hive, and what it's all about.
I realized Hive is not all about writing and dumping posts for people to read, I have to also read people, engage, and make friends with them. And also have the future of the platform in my mind.

What Hive has done for me is far more than the rewards. Reading the experiences of people, especially those who are older than me is a rare opportunity. Reading them has made me learn from their mistakes, and discover the things I can do to stay happy and positive.

If you have read some of my posts and you are sensitive enough you must have noticed something about me.
I was in an environment that was very difficult to navigate emotionally for three years before joining Hive. I was emotionally traumatized, and I was struggling to be happy and optimistic.
Hive helped in healing me. Every day I read people who seem to be very happy despite what they are going through. People who have a purpose and work hard every day to achieve this purpose.
I learned to let go, free my mind, and live like a bird.

Reading people has also helped me to write what people can read, understand, and enjoy. Though I'm not perfect yet, but I'm better than before.

Hive means so many things to me, it is my second home and family. The amazing strangers who have become my friends inspire me every day.
Hive is exciting, no matter how long you stay here, you will still be thrilled by so many things that is going on in the blockchain.

Look at me, I'm shy to see myself so excited like someone who joined Hive yesterday:) I believe it's the longer you stay, the more excited you get.

If you are a lady on Hive and you've not joined the ladies of Hive community then you are missing a whole lot.
The community is not only for women; if you love women, support women, and believe in us then the community is for you too.
The ladies of the Hive community have been a great support to my Hive growth. The amazing women there are always ready to help and offer support wherever you are lacking. I will gladly recommend it to newbies, come and make friends and share your experiences with fellow women.
