Speechless... This is how I feel after having fulfilled one of my personal dreams! I remember when I was a child I built a small cart with a fruit basket, it was very simple, made of wood material and I tied a rope to it to walk my friends! without a doubt one of the things that gave me the most pleasure as a child! obviously I'm from the 80's and at that time we didn't play with cell phones or electronic games! I LOVE Portugal because my country fulfills all possible dreams! from walking on the longest suspension bridge in the world to being thrown by some wooden carts on a very steep two kilometer road! would you dare?😄👨👩🧑👧🧒

Asi me siento despues de haber realizado uno de mis sueños personales! recuerdo cuando era niño construi un pequeño carro con una cesta de frutas, era muy simple, hecho de material de madera y le ataba una cuerda para pasear a mis amigos! sin duda una de las cosas que mas placer me daban de niño! obviamente soy de los años 80 y en esa epoca no jugabamos con telefonos celulares ni con juegos electronicos! AMO Portugal porque mi pais te cumple todos los sueños posibles! desde pasear por el puente colgante mas largo del mundo hasta ser lanzado por unos carros de madera en una carretera muy empinada de dos kilometros! te atreverias?🚙🌍

Very few people know about this tourist attraction that is located in the parish of Monte in Portugal, if you want to visit it then you should travel to Funchal! It's probably the first time you've seen something like this! and we are the pioneers in fun! The "Carrerios do monte" as the activity is known has a long history in the country and is one of the most valued tourist activities in the Portuguese country! in summer you can stand in line for up to "2 hours" just to jump in the car!🏎💨

Son muy pocas las personas que conocen esta atraccion turistica que se ubica en la freguesia de Monte en Portugal, si quieres visitarlo entonces deberas viajar a Funchal! probablemente es primera vez que ves algo parecido a esto! y es que somos los pioneros en la diversion! las "Carrerios do monte" como se le conoce a la actividad tiene mucha historia en el pais y es una de las actividades turisticas mas cotizadas del pais luso! en verano puedes pasar en la fila hasta "2 horas" solo para lanzarte en el carro!😅🤣

The Funchal region is known because it is located on a mountain and is quite high, so the inhabitants needed to commute to the city center every day! However, walking something so steep was something that not everyone wanted to do, either because they were not physically fit, or because they wanted to get to school early! what happened was that in the 19th century some gentlemen had the idea of building a small wooden cart without wheels and charged a ticket to take people to the city by road! That's how this fun and crazy story started! which is now 100 years old!🤔😅

La region de Funchal es conocida porque esta ubicada en una montaña es bastante elevada, por lo que los habitantes necesitaban desplazarse al centro de la ciudad todos los dias! sin embargo caminar algo tan empinado era algo que no todos querian hacer, tanto porque no tenian condiciones fisicas, o porque querian llegar temprano a la escuela! lo que sucedio fue que en el siglo XIX unos señores tuvieron la idea de construir una pequeña carrosa de madera sin ruedas y cobraban un boleto para llevar a las personas a la ciudad por la carretera! asi comenzo esta divertida y loca historia! que actualmente ya cumple 100 años!🛒🎢🎫

Todos los turistas que viajan a la zona de Monte van en busca de aventura, adrenalina y diversion! por lo que pagan los 30 euros para lanzarse por la carretera mas divertida del mundo! y no lo digo yo! lo dicen las personas que se arman de valor para disfrutar de un loco paseo! anteriormente un turista para llegar al tope de la ciudad de "monte" debia caminar 30kilometros, una locura!!! cuando Funchal se moderniza todos esos kilometros se reducieron a tan solo 2.🌄⛲

The cars can carry a maximum of 3 people and you pay 40 euros if you want to launch with two more friends! After queuing up, 2 gentlemen dressed in the typical clothes of the city grab the car with 2 ropes to gain momentum and at the same time become our drivers! THERE IS NO BRAKE!!! they must brake with their feet, THERE IS NO STEERING WHEEL, they must drive the car with their hands! you can reach high speeds so the adrenaline will travel through your body without problem🤣! xd

Los carros pueden llevar un maximo de 3 personas y pagas 40 euros si quieres lanzarte con dos amigos mas! luego de hacer la fila 2 señores vestidos con la ropa tipica de la ciudad, agarran el carro con 2 cuerdas para tomar impulso y al mismo tiempo se transforman en nuestros conductores! NO EXISTE UN FRENO!!! ellos deben frenar con los pies, NO EXISTE VOLANTE, ellos deben conducir el carro con sus manos! puedes alcanzar altas velocidades por lo que la adrenalina viajara por tu cuerpo sin problema! xD💨🛒

What can I say? It was an AWESOME day!!! One of the craziest and funniest experiences I did in my life! and that for me is one of the tourist attractions that MAKES US TRAVEL TO OUR CHILDHOOD! and that's how Portugal is, a unique country with crazy things like my posts! xD thanks for commenting and voting!
