[ENG/ESP] Profundidad y Esplendor de los Sacrificios de Dama, Se merecen una Doble Admiración. || Depth and Splendor of the Lady Sacrifices deserve Double Admiration.

Una vez finalizada una partida de ajedrez se procede a la valoración de la misma, y hay jugadas que no merecen uno sino dos signos de admiración debido a su creatividad y el valor que aporta, hoy les traigo algunos sacrificios de Dama que he visto en uno de los libros del gran Garri Kaspárov.

Once a chess game is finished, we proceed to the evaluation of it, and there are moves that deserve not one but two exclamation marks because of their creativity and the value it brings, today I bring you some queen sacrifices that I have seen in one of the books of the great Garri Kasparov.

No vamos a hablar en este post de los sacrificios posicionales, sino de los sacrificios en ataque, en concreto los sacrificios de dama. Dentro de estos sacrificios deberíamos de distinguir entre los sacrificios que nos conducen directamente al mate o a la recuperación de material, y los que nos dejan con buenas posibilidades de ataque, pero en posiciones en las que resulta imposible (para la mayoría de los humanos) calcular con exactitud hasta comprobar que damos mate o recuperamos el material. En esos casos la intuición (puede que tal vez la experiencia) juega un papel fundamental.

We are not going to talk in this post about positional sacrifices, but about attacking sacrifices, specifically queen sacrifices. Within these sacrifices we should distinguish between sacrifices that lead directly to mate or to the recovery of material, and those that leave us with good attacking possibilities, but in positions in which it is impossible (for most humans) to calculate exactly until we check that we mate or recover the material. In those cases intuition (maybe even experience) plays a fundamental role.

Esto son sacrificios de ataque sencillamente hermosos, esta posición es de la partida Eckart - Tarrasch, donde Tarrasch con negras decide sacrificar su Dama en f2 para sentenciar la partida de manera extraordinaria.

These are simply beautiful attacking sacrifices, this position is from the game Eckart - Tarrasch, where Tarrasch with Black decides to sacrifice his queen on f2 to end the game in an extraordinary way.

Todo sacrificio de dama implica riesgos, por lo tanto, al realizar este tipo de movimiento, el jugador debe haber realizado una estimación y cálculos suficientes que le indiquen que el sacrificio le conducirá a la victoria, si fuera el caso de un sacrificio “combinatorio” con ataque de mate.

Every queen sacrifice implies risks, therefore, when making this type of move, the player must have made a sufficient estimation and calculations that indicate that the sacrifice will lead to victory, if it were the case of a "combinatory" sacrifice with mate attack.
