A Little Cruise Ship: Barishal to Dhaka

Today I would like to share the return journey from my home. Let us find out a part of beauty of Barishal.

It as a cloudy evening we started our journey from our home. Basically, the waterway is an hour bus journey so we started before dusk. The little cruise ship started from Barishal to Dhaka at 9/9.30pm but we do not wanted to miss the crowed and the total feeling so we went by 8pm. Previous night of the weekend or any holiday- the terminal becomes more occupied. So, it would be wise to reach an hour early although you bought an ticket prior. If you do not book or buy a ticket earlier than the travel day it is more or less confirm you won’t get a Sofa come bed or Cabin, you would find yourself in the deck for rest of the night.

We decided not to have an air-conditioned cabin as it was already September and we do not wanted to miss the natural wind and the river view.

It was fun, kids included adults enjoied the river view, the water and the total journey of course. We all were out of the cabin till 3am in the morning and slept couple of hours before reaching Dhaka terminal.

Double cabin cost us 2000tk (non-AC). We had our own food but you could have your dinner in the ship’s canteen which would cost 200-500 TK per person included fish or meat.
It was a beautiful journey to remember.
