    It's that time of the week again when we get creative and share it with the community simply for the love of it. It's been more exciting to prepare contents for creative Sunday now as I do learn new things because of it.

    I've been trying to keep up with my recent recipe exploration so today, I decided to share a recipe of one regular meal we prepare here in my country. Mum was craving for assorted meat so we decided to prepare oil stew with just assorted meat.

    So the name is Assorted Meat Oil Stew - Because I used little parts of the liver, heart and intestines of a cow. And the use of oil with enough pepper.

    Stew is also an all purpose meal, you can use it to eat in different combination. You can have stew with white rice, eba/fufu/amala/semovita, bread, beans and even dried Garri lol. How to enjoy your stew varies and that makes preparing stew is a good choice when you have little to spend.

    So in the post, I showed how I prepared the oil stew I made with assorted meat.

    Ingredients used:

    • Tomatoes and pepper
    • Palm oil
    • Assorted meat
    • Onions
    • Salt and maggi

    The ingredients are quite regular and not expensive except the meat, we bought little but it cost more than we expected. Well, the taste made us forget whatever we spent in making the stew come together in our pot lol.

    The process is explained in the video but to have a brief write up on how to go about it, I'll share them in a few steps.

    Steps to prepare the Oil stew

    • Prepare your ingredients
      I cleaned and steamed the raw assorted meat.
    • Pour your palm oil into a heated pot, add salt and onions.
    • Pour in your grinded tomatoes and pepper and allow to boil
    • Add your meat and stock to make it taste into your sauce.
    • Add your maggi and salt to taste
    • I boiled grated Okro for the stew since I wanted to use it for swallow.
    • Allow the soup to boil for a few minutes before taking it off the heat.

    And your assorted Meat oil stew is ready to be eaten with just anything, I used Eba to enjoy mine as you can see in the picture. The taste was amazing.
