    About :

Fortunately, in 2006 I was at the carnivals in Rio de Janeiro, on business, but immersed in all the magic that makes this event possible.

And like everything in life, it is one thing to see it through a screen, or even being in the country itself, and quite another to discover the details from the inside.

For example, the girls who dance in the front row are called passistas and not garotas as they are usually called, because garota means young woman, and they are not necessarily dancers.

Each comparsa has a children's section that opens the parade of each samba school, and even though they are small, they have their own well learned and rehearsed choreography.

There is also the group of Baianas, which are elderly women who are those with long dresses and who usually dance around, to show off their clothes. They are the oldest of each school, and many of them were passistas in their youth. They represent the soul of the school and leave the historical legacy for the following generations.

And a very curious and maybe even unbelievable fact is that in some of the floats there are people without clothes, and even the most daring ones have sex during the parade inside the floats. And I say this... because I saw it!
