April 12th is full of incredible historical events that shaped our world as we know it today. From the adoption of the Union Flag in 1606 to the start of the American Civil War in 1861 and the establishment of Puerto Rico in 1900, this day has left an indelible mark on history. But perhaps most significant of all was Chiang Kai-shek's counter-revolution in Shanghai in 1927, which helped shape modern China and set the stage for a tumultuous century. It's amazing to think that so much happened on this one day – an eventful reminder of our past and what lies ahead.
