¡Un feliz día para todos! Quiero compartir con ustedes una de las experiencias más bonitas que estoy viviendo en mi adultez. Hace aproximadamente 6 meses, nos hemos reunido en un grupo hermoso de amigos que pasamos nuestra enseñanza media superior becados en una escuela al campo. Estuvimos muchos años sin saber unos de otros y gracias a las redes sociales, poco a poco nos hemos unido y actualmente formado una piña increíble, donde hasta nuestros familiares son parte de ella.

Han pasado más de 30 años, cada uno ha tomado rumbos diferentes, estudiamos diferentes carreras, creado familias y perseguido nuestros sueños. Algunos han enfrentado más dificultades que otros, pero todos hemos vivido nuestras propias experiencias. Algunos hemos hecho vida en la ciudad, otros en el campo, y algunos han emigrado fuera del país. Somos un grupo bastante diverso, con muchos matices y diferentes formas de observar la vida. Pero tenemos un denominador común: NOS AMAMOS. Cuando nos reunimos, reímos sin máscaras ni tapujos, con una amistad pura y sincera. Es como si volviéramos en el tiempo a esos momentos en los que apenas empezábamos a volar y queríamos comernos el mundo, con muchos sueños en la cabeza. Juntos, somos muy felices, siempre tenemos el corazón palpitante de alegría.

A happy day to all of you! I want to share with you one of the most beautiful experiences I am living in my adulthood. About 6 months ago, we got together in a beautiful group of friends who spent our high school education on scholarship in a school in the countryside. We didn't know each other for many years and thanks to social networks, little by little we have united and now we have formed an incredible group, where even our relatives are part of it.

More than 30 years have passed, we have each taken different paths, pursued different careers, created families and pursued our dreams. Some have faced more difficulties than others, but we have all lived our own experiences. Some of us have lived in the city, others in the countryside, and some have emigrated out of the country. We are quite a diverse group, with many nuances and different ways of looking at life. But we have one common denominator: WE LOVE US. When we get together, we laugh without masks or concealment, with a pure and sincere friendship. It is as if we were going back in time to those moments when we were just starting to fly and wanted to eat the world, with many dreams in our heads. Together, we are very happy.

Desde el mes pasado, habíamos planeado reunirnos en casa de Mirellita, quien tiene una gran piscina en su casa. Ella vive en una finca en Vereda Nueva, un pequeño pueblecito en las afueras de Caimito, municipio de la actual Provincia de Artemisa. Aunque todos vivimos en lugares dispersos y alejados, lo planeamos con tiempo y teníamos muchas ganas de reunirnos. Entre todos, planeamos qué llevar para contribuir a tener una estancia agradable. Incluso nuestros amigos que viven en el exterior, que también forman parte del grupo en WhatsApp, hicieron sus aportes en la logística. El grupo en esos días parecía un hormiguero.

Since last month, we had planned to meet at Mirellita's house, who has a large swimming pool in her house. She lives on a farm in Vereda Nueva, a small village on the outskirts of Caimito, a municipality in what is now Artemisa Province. Although we all live in scattered and distant places, we planned ahead and were eager to get together. Together, we planned what to bring to contribute to a pleasant stay. Even our friends living abroad, who are also part of the WhatsApp group, contributed to the logistics. The group in those days was like an anthill.

Cuando llegó el día, el cielo estaba gris. Muchos habían planeado sus viajes y salieron temprano hacia Vereda. Los rezagados, como yo, decidimos salir más tarde. En ese momento, empezó a llover a cántaros, pero este grupo es grandioso. Por teléfono, todos me animaron y me decían que el tiempo estaba despejado en Vereda. Esperé a que amainara la lluvia, de repente, salió el sol. Mi marido y yo salimos de casa casi a mediodía, pero con mucho entusiamo.

When the day came, the skies were grey. Many had planned their trips and left early for Vereda. The stragglers, like me, decided to leave later. At that point, it started to rain heavily, but this group is great. On the phone, everyone cheered me up and explained that the weather was clear in Vereda. I waited for the rain to let up and suddenly the sun was shining. My husband and I left the house at almost noon, but with a lot of enthusiasm.

Fue un gran chute de energía. Ya habían preparado una caldosa en la que todos pusimos nuestro granito de arena. Pasamos una tarde fenomenal. Ni siquiera habíamos terminado y ya estábamos planeando el próximo encuentro. Siempre nos la pasamos tan bien, que a la hora de irnos nos cuesta separarnos. Mirella y Lazaro su esposo son muy buenos anfitriones ¡Este grupo tiene una energía increíble! ¡Los amigos de juventud son amigos para toda la vida!

It was a great burst of energy. They had already prepared a caldosa in which we all did our bit. We had a great afternoon. We hadn't even finished and we were already planning the next meeting. We always have such a good time, that when it's time to leave we find it hard to part. Mirella and her husband Lazaro are great hosts. This group has an incredible energy! Friends of youth are friends for life!
