A pesar de que existen varias películas que se jactan de haber sido filmadas en un plano secuencia sin ningún corte visible, la realidad es que estas usan diferentes trucos para ocultar los cortes entre escena y escena. Sin embargo, el caso de esta película alemana es distinto, pues su director se propuso el reto de grabar la película en una sola toma sin cortes y sin ningún truco en solo 3 intentos.
