Hi, Hivers and craft lovers! Today, I want to show you some crafts made with recycled cans of Pringles potato chips. They are a Food Container and a Pencil Holder. Let's go step by step.

¡Hola, Hivers y amantes de las manualidades! Hoy quiero enseñarles algunas manualidades realizadas con latas de Papas Pringles recicladas. Se trata de un Conservador de Alimentos y un Portalápices. Vamos al paso a paso.

We will need Pringles cans, cold paint, a paintbrush, water-based varnish, liquid or stick silicone, a piece of fabric, decorative cord and ribbon, beads or costume jewelry stones, sequins, ruler and scissors.

Necesitaremos latas de Pringles, pintura al frío, un pincel, barniz al agua, silicón líquido o en barra, un retazo de tela, cordón y cinta decorativa, cuentas o piedras de bisutería, lentejuelas, regla y tijera.

We start with the food holder, for which we are going to paint our large can. I used a red wine color that I created from the union of an earth brown and a red color that I had at home. It is necessary to apply 2 or 3 coats of paint. Afterwards, we varnish the can with water-based gloss, if you do not have this type of varnish, you can create a homemade varnish by combining equal parts of white glue and alcohol.

Iniciamos con el conservador de alimentos, para lo cual vamos a pintar nuestra lata grande. Yo utilice un color Vino tinto que creé de la unión de un color marrón tierra y uno rojo que tenía en casa. Es necesario aplicar 2 o 3 capas de pintura. Posteriormente, barnizamos la lata con brillo al agua, si no tienen este tipo de barniz, pueden crear un barniz casero uniendo partes iguales de pega blanca y alcohol.

Next, we decorate our food container with a decorative string or rope, to which we add some silver sequins to give it a touch of light. Then, we make a bow for the front of the can with string, sequins, and in this case I also placed an artificial flower in the center to give it a special touch.

And here is our food container already decorated.

Acto seguido, adornamos nuestro contenedor de alimentos con un cordón o mecatillo decorativo, al cual le agregamos unas lentejuelas plateadas para darle unos toques de luz. Luego, realizamos un lazo para la parte frontal de la lata con cordón, lentejuelas y en este caso también le coloqué una flor artificial en el centro para darle un toque especial.

Y así queda nuestro contenedor de alimentos ya decorado.

I left the aluminum flap to prevent moisture from entering the food. Here we can place pasta, grains or any cereal of our choice.

Yo le dejé la pestaña de aluminio para evitar que entre humedad a los alimentos. Aquí podemos colocar pasta, granos o cualquier cereal de nuestra preferencia.

Now, I will show you how to create a pencil holder in a very simple way. For this, we will use a small Pringles can and a piece of fabric. In my case I used recycled blue jean fabric.

Ahora, les mostraré cómo crear un portalápices de forma muy sencilla. Para esto vamos a usar una lata pequeña de Pringles y un retazo de tela. En mi caso utilicé tela de blue jean reciclada.

We are going to cut the piece of fabric according to the appropriate measures to cover our can. Then we apply silicone and glue the fabric very well to the container.

Vamos a recortar el retazo según las medidas adecuadas para cubrir nuestra lata. Luego colocamos silicón y pegamos muy bien la tela al recipiente.

Afterwards, we cover the edges and the central joint with decorative tape, for which we will also use silicone, which can be liquid or stick.

Posteriormente, cubrimos los bordes y la junta central con cinta decorativa, para lo cual también usaremos silicón, que puede ser líquido o en barra.

For the other end, where the seam goes, I made a design with beads and costume jewelry stones. Here we are going to put our creativity and imagination to work.

Para el otro extremo, donde va la costura, realicé un diseño con cuentas y piedras de bisutería. Aquí vamos a poner nuestra creatividad e imaginación en marcha.

And here is our pencil holder, in it we can place crayons or any stationery, and the important thing is that we create it from reusable materials, being environmentally friendly.

Y así queda nuestro portalápices, en él podemos colocar creyones o cualquier artículo de papelería, y lo importante es que lo creamos a partir de materiales reutilizables, siendo amigables con el medio ambiente.
