What a joy it is to have fun at an amusement park! Even if it is a small park like the one in my neighborhood. I'm not saying this for me, but for my little girl, who loves to play on the rides that are put on at the park at weekends 🎡.

It's not that I don't have fun, but I'm a bit old to jump on a blow-up castle, I suppose they won't let me on it either, jeje, although it sounds very entertaining. My little girl always has a great time!

Where I live there aren't many attractions for children, so we often have to go to another municipality to take them for a ride. Going out for rides has become more complicated in these difficult economic times in Cuba, as everything has gone up in price, including transport and the cost of amusement parks. In addition, many have closed due to lack of maintenance or breakdowns, but there are always options!!! And in my neighborhood every weekend there are several inflatable games for the children to have fun.

Every time I can, I take my little girl there, there are always a lot of children playing in this park. On the day I'm going to tell you about, we left the house a bit late and when we arrived there, some of the playground equipment had already been removed, so there were fewer children to play with. Even so, the remaining attractions were enough to make Maria Claudia overflow with all her jumping energy, and I mean that literally. There was a bouncy castle and a trampoline, the latter was the one she liked the most.

This trampoline was the most popular (there weren't many options either 🤭), so we had to wait for some older kids who were having a lot of fun playing super jumps in the air to finish. When it was her turn, she was jumping for quite a while, so much that I think I got tired just watching her. But she didn't get tired at all, and when the trampoline was taken away she wanted to play at running in the middle of a big square in the park.

While she was having fun, without losing sight of her, I took the opportunity to take some photos. I have always liked the trees on this site very much. These, I think, must be quite old. In my childhood memories of this park there are always these big trees, and it's not that I'm that old, but by the size, the leafiness of their branches and the large number of roots they have, I can guess that they are trees that have been here for quite some time.

Something peculiar is that part of their roots are aerial, which makes them very striking to the eye. Searching on the internet I found that in Cuba this species is known as Jagüey, and it is a very common tree in our flora.

It was time to leave, and it was already late in the afternoon. Maria Claudia, who never gets tired, always asks me to let her play for a few more minutes, but if I let her, the night will catch us, so there was no extra time this time. Here is her displeased face jeje. She always seems to have too little time when it is about fun.

The good thing is that the week is coming to an end, and the bouncy castles and trampolines will surely be back. It will be another weekend of fun and entertainment.

¡Qué alegría es divertirse en un parque de diversiones! Aunque sea un parque pequeñito como el que está en mi vecindario. Esto no lo digo por mí, sino por mi niña, que le encanta jugar en las atracciones que ponen en el parque los fines de semana 🎡.
No es que yo no me divierta, pero ya estoy un poco mayorcita para ponerme a saltar en un castillo inflable, digo yo, tampoco creo que me dejen subir jeje, aunque suena muy entretenido. ¡Mi niña siempre lo pasa genial!

En el lugar dónde vivo no hay muchas atracciones para los niños, así que a menudo tenemos que trasladarnos a otro municipio para llevarlos de paseo. Salir a pasear se ha vuelto más complicado en estos tiempos de dificultades económicas que se viven en Cuba, pues todo ha aumentado mucho de precio, incluyendo el transporte y el costo de los parques de diversiones. Además de que muchos han cerrado por falta de mantenimiento o roturas ¡¡¡Pero siempre hay opciones!!! Y en mi vecindario todos los fines de semana traen varios aparatos inflables para que los niños del barrio pasen un momento divertido.

Siempre que puedo llevo a mi niña allí, en este parque hay siempre muchos niños jugando. Este día del que les voy a contar, salimos un poco tarde de la casa y cuando llegamos ya habían quitado algunos de los aparatos infantiles, por lo que había menos niños con quién jugar. Aun así, las atracciones que aún quedaban bastaron para que María Claudia desbordara toda su energía saltando, y lo digo literalmente. Había un castillo inflable y un trampolín, este último fue el que más le gustó.

Este trampolín era el más popular (tampoco había muchas opciones 🤭), así que tuvimos que esperar que terminaran unos niños de más edad que estaban muy divertidos jugando a dar súper saltos en el aire. Cuando le tocó el turno a ella, estuvo saltando un buen rato, tanto que creo que me cansé solo de verla. Pero ella no se cansó en absoluto, y cuando se llevaron el trampolín quiso jugar a correr en medio de una gran plazoleta que hay en el parque.

En lo que ella se divertía, siempre sin perderla de vista, aproveche para tomar algunas fotos. Los árboles que hay en este sitio siempre me han gustado mucho. Estos, creo que deben ser bastante antiguos. En las memorias que tengo de niña de este parque siempre están estos grandes árboles, y no es que yo tenga tantos años, pero por el tamaño, la frondosidad de sus ramas y la gran cantidad de raíces que tienen, puedo adivinar que son árboles que llevan bastante tiempo aquí.

Algo peculiar es que parte de sus raíces son aéreas, lo que los hace muy llamativos a la vista. Buscando en internet encontré que en Cuba esta especie se conoce con el nombre de Jagüey, y es un árbol muy común de nuestra flora.

Llegó la hora de irnos, ya la tarde estaba bastante avanzada. Maria Claudia, que nunca se cansa, siempre me pide que la deja jugar unos minutos más, pero si la dejo nos coge la noche, así que no hubo tiempo extra está vez. Aquí les muestro su cara de inconformidad jeje. Siempre que se trata de diversión el tiempo le parece poco.

Lo bueno es que ya se está acabando la semana, y seguramente volverán los castillos inflables y trampolines. Será otro fin de semana de diversión y entretenimiento.
