The beauty of the simple ~ Art Therapy coloring flowers and leaves

This is the name of this drawing, which I colored with great joy and satisfaction, because I used my favorite colors, various shades of green, and pink. It is an uncomplicated drawing, I colored it relatively quickly and it helped me to practice several gradient techniques for coloring green leaves, until I found one that convinced me completely and this is the one I show and explain there at the beginning of the video.

I used three shades of green and a yellow that gave a bright touch to the leaves, starting by coloring the edge of the leaves with the darkest shade of green, and then adding the lighter shades from outside to inside blurring gently, to finish with the yellow well to the center of the leaf, with this I achieved a bright and illuminated leaf.

I also tried another way of coloring, using the same four tones but coloring from the base of the leaf with the dark green, going up towards the tip of the leaf coloring with the lighter tones until reaching the yellow,

I liked both techniques, but my favorite was the first one, because I felt more beautiful the highlight that the yellow gives to the center of the leaf.

I continued with the flowers, pink, just the most beautiful shade of pink I have, combined with a fuchsia that I used at the center of the petals of the flowers and this gave a certain shade and a nice effect to the view of this drawing of flowers. I continued with the leaves that are the base of the flower and used the same color technique that I chose for the leaves of the drawing.

Finally, I colored the stems of brown color, maybe it was not necessary because they are already drawn with black ink, but I think that giving that brown color, as a shadow to the stems was very good.

It also occurred to me to add a touch of pink to the pistils of the flowers, I did this with some eye makeup, which I have, and I have already been using in other drawings, I just gave a few touches with the fingertips to blend it, with some distrust but in the end I loved the result.

Heat, to give it an even more personal touch, sign my drawing, it is something that sometimes I forget to do, but I must get used to it, because in the end it is my creativity that is there embodied, and although the drawing belongs to a book, I am the one who gives it life by coloring, so I must begin to believe myself as an artist, because if, although my art is not conventional or which is more accepted by all, but in the end it is art, although it is approached in a therapeutic way.

I hope you like the video and the pictures, I did it with much affection, I felt very calm doing this drawing, as I said, I did it very fast in two or three days I finished it and it gave me a lot of satisfaction.

All images and videos are my property, taken and recorded with the camera of my Samsung A01 phone, the edited video and musical background titled Canyons in the CapCut App. This drawing belongs to my art therapy book Cores da Floresta.
