¡Hola hermanos de la comunidad Sound Music!. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia reciente, de hace un mes cuando el Maestro Plácido Domingo nos visitó en Venezuela. Ya les he hablado en Hive sobre el Coro de Manos Blancas de mi institución, pero en esa ocasión fue cuando compartimos escenario en la Opera Fidelio en Junio con el Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, lo que hoy les muestro en este video es más íntimo...

Because of the magnitude of the work and musical legacy of our institution, we have the joy of meeting celebrities from the musical world constantly, whether from showbiz or academic music, so every week there is a musical showcase of our activities and repertoire. This was the day we made our official showcase to Plácido Domingo as a pillar choral group in Venezuela, but there are so many orchestras, ensembles and choirs that we eventually share space and it was our turn with this magnificent group from the State of Lara which is usually one of the favourites of all our visitors.

Por la magnitud de la obra y el legado musical de nuestra institución tenemos la dicha de conocer celebridades del medio musical constantemente, ya sea del showbiz o de la música académica, así que todas las semanas hay una muestra musical de nuestras actividades y repertorio. Este fue el día que hicimos nuestra muestra oficial a Plácido Domingo como agrupación coral pilar en Venezuela, pero hay tantas orquestas, ensambles y coros que eventualmente compartimos espacio y nos tocó con esta magnífica agrupación del Estado Lara que suele ser de las favoritas de todos nuestros visitantes.

The White Hands Choir has as its members people with some physical disability, but naturally with an even higher talent than us in the national choir, because lacking some sense definitely intensifies the others, and this is what is most surprising about them. I have always seen that it is divided in two, there are the deaf and dumb kids who wear white gloves to highlight the words of the music through the movement of their hands and sign language, and there is the half that hears and sings, even though they can't see or have some motor difficulties. Together they are a great team that has shone outside Venezuela, in fact this day two guys who are blind played the piano, and I who can see only play chords, that's admirable 😍

El Coro de Manos Blancas tiene como integrantes a personas con alguna incapacidad física, pero naturalmente con un talento incluso más elevado que nosotros los del coro nacional, porque al carecer de algún sentido definitivamente se intensifican los demás, y esto es lo que más sorprende de ellos. Siempre he visto que se divide en dos, están los chicos sordomudos que usan guantes blancos para resaltar la letra de la música a través del movimiento de sus manos y el lenguaje de señas, y está la mitad que oye y canta, aunque no puedan ver o tengan alguna dificultad motora. Juntos son un gran equipo que ha brillado fuera de Venezuela, de hecho este día tocaron el piano dos chicos que son ciegos, y yo que puedo ver solo toco acordes, eso es admirable 😍
