I am happy to be presenting to you the cover of a song that I so much love. It is in ogbo language and the title is "Anyi ario Gi" meaning we ask you but then it is directed to God amd as such we can say it is "we ask you o God". Whenever this song is sung in the church my soul is lifted beyond the physical and I transcend to the abode of the almighty. It is a beautiful song and I got inspired to sing it because I heard someone sing it earlier this morning. Immediately it stuck yo my ears and my mouth that I could not help but sing it also throughout the day.

I decided to record it when I have sung it for more than twenty times during the time I was doing my laundry. I say it again that it is a beautiful song and if you understand it and also pay attention to the rhythm, you will love it too.

The song goes this way: anyi ario gi (we ask you) nara aja anyi(receive our offerings) ezi chukwu ezi chukwu (Good God) nabata ya (receive it) were ya, gozie ya, me kwa ya nna k'odi mma (take it, bless it, and make it to be good) kwesi na I ga nara ya(to be worthy for you to receive it).

The stanza expresses that the offering we render to God is not to pay Him for His blessings because we do not have the power to do so.

I implore you dear friends to listen and be blessed by this rendition. If possible sing along in praise of the Lord.
