Hello everybody on Hive and especially the Hive Open Mic Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from the Garden Route (about 5-7 hours drive from Cape Town) in South Africa!

Welcome to Week 171 of the Hive Open Mic Challenge. The theme for this week is Divorce / Separation, and so I thought it would be fun to try and tackle both the male and female parts of the song “Somebody that I used to Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra! When it is the female part, I will sing in a high falsetto voice – haha!

¡Hola a todos en Hive y especialmente a la comunidad Hive Open Mic! Mi nombre es Jasper y te escribo (y canto) desde Garden Route (a unas 5-7 horas en coche desde Ciudad del Cabo) en Sudáfrica.

Bienvenidos a la semana 171 del Hive Open Mic Challenge. El tema de esta semana es Divorcio/Separación, así que pensé que sería divertido tratar de abordar las partes masculina y femenina de la canción "Alguien que solía conocer" de Gotye con Kimbra. Cuando sea la parte femenina, cantaré con una voz de falsete alta, ¡jaja!
