MUSIC: Three Tune Tuesday 115 - 3 Songs by Van Morrison (Part 2)! - (3 Cover Performances!)

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town in South Africa!

This is my 50th week in a row contributing to "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 115 overall!

In all of my TTT entries so far, I have tried to play the songs on guitar as well as share the original videos... and my current pattern for "Three Tune Tuesday" is to pick three songs by one of my favourite artists, that has inspired me - as I also write original songs.

I plan to reach 52 weeks in a row, a full year, before putting the guitar down and merely sharing 3 videos like an ordinary human being! Hahaha!

So, 3 weeks of covers to go. I thought it would be nice to revisit some of my favourite prolific artists I have already tackled and do a Part 2!

This week I would like to tackle Van Morrison - Part 2! The first time I tackled Van Morrison, as far as I can remember, I did:
Moondance
Caravan
Brown Eyed Girl

This time, let me go back to his first solo album "Astral Weeks" (1968), which involved a lot of improvization by talented jazzy musicians, and do the song "Sweet Thing"! Here is the original:

Now let me do one of my favourite songs to play for my dad! He calls it "Jelly Roll", but its real name is "And It Stoned Me". This song usually invokes actual imagery in my mind of being a young boy going fishing and swimming at a waterhole at the end of a dusty road... Here is the original:

Finally, you may be surprised to know that this is a Van Morssion song if you are more familiar with the Rod Stewart cover, but "Have I Told You Lately" is the third and final song for me to cover today! Here is the original:

From Week 53, when I start sharing the original videos only (like a normal human being with limited free time Hahaha!), my one thought was to try and pick songs that match the theme for the week for the "Hive Open Mic" challenge, and encourage people who take part in that to come over and check if they're feeling stuck. Would this be a good idea?
