MUSIC: Three Tune Tuesday 93 - 3 Songs about "A Better World" - (2 Covers + 1 Original!)

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town in South Africa!

This is my 28th week contributing to "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 93 overall!

I am trying to stick to a set pattern, where I perform 2 cover songs (written by famous artists) and 1 original song (written by me [or us in this case]) around a theme. This week, the theme is "A better world!"

As I mentioned last week, I have pretty much run out of finished original songs. Now, I have no choice but to reveal a new "work-in-progress" original song, but let's get through the two cover songs first!

For the first cover song, I am going to think back to Michael Jackson and his inspiring song called "Heal the World". Here's the original!

For the second song, I would like to do "Imagine" by John Lennon. This is an interesting song... Is he hoping for no possessions, countries or religion simply because these are the thing man tends to fight over, or even go to war over... or was John Lennon actually a full-blown Communist? What do you all think??? Here's the original:

With the two covers out of the way, it is time for me to hurry up and finish at least a couple of verses and chorus to match the theme of the week... Well, I seem to have a chord progression coming out of the woodwork to play with... Let's call it "Be The Change" for now. I really did write this all just before posting in a bit of a panic... so it's a good look at how a new song slowly gets worked out...

I'm definitely imagining the first lines of the chorus being sung as high as I'm doing here, but maybe somebody else could do that while I stay and harmonise down in a lower register that matches the rest of the song... what do you think @clairemobey? Any potential here? A lot more work to be done I think...
